i think Warren would be a better fit for this team than first meets the eye because of his knack (and yeah, there's not really a more precise word for it) for transition scoring.

Assuming we go with a wing at #9 I like guys like Ennis, Elfrid Payton and Napier.

Kyle Anderson, McGary and Stokes also interest me.

Who to draft with the 24th pick? A power forward that might be better than Zeller

My candidates are Kyle Anderson or Jarnell Stokes

There's no need to use that pick on a small forward when CDR should be re-signed and Jeff Taylor is set to return from injury

If he is still there at #24, I am all for Napier.

A backup 1 would be ideal. One who can actually distribute the ball and not turn it over excessively.

I know DeAndre Daniels will be there and he's probably the best shooting SF in the draft outside of Doug McDermott.

LaVine - Daniels would be a huge haul but we would really be green. I think those additions can be mitigated with our cap space and we can groom them while taking that next step up.

Lance Stephenson gives us tremendous flexibility in the draft imo.

A backup PG would be best. Assuming we get a scoring wing at 9, backup PG is our next biggest need. Of course you could also double up on the wing or grab a big to develop. But I think if we could get Napier to back up Kemba that would be ideal.

Kyle Anderson is my wildcard. He's an interesting prospect.

I can't get my hopes up for Shabazz. I think he's long gone by 24. If he's there, grab him and run. I'll repeat what I said about pick 9.

We need to target players for talent, fit and trade value.

Some of the best players available are restricted free agents.

Anderson will be long gone by the 24th. Regardless of how unimpressive his athleticism is guys that have his combination of size and skill don't come around every year. If he's there he absolutely should be the pick.

I'm not really interested in entrusting a rookie drafted late in the 1st round as the primary backup point guard on a team destined to reach the playoffs again (unless that said rookie is lottery talent like Napier)

Unless Napier or maybe Ennis falls, I agree. PG is certainly not the strength of this draft. No one after the top 3 is worth a first round selection.

Assuming neither of them fall, you just take the best player available, whether that be a big or a wing.

Beat me to it. What we need out of a back up pg a rookie can't provide. All we need is an upgrade over Ridnour, if we can't do that in FA then we should all go home. No need burning a 1st rounder for this.

I want a high potential wing or a rotation Pf in case McBob leaves. Payne, McGary, Daniels, GRIII, Early, Warren, etc.

There's a few point guards that I would take a flyer on in the 2nd round though to be Charlotte's 3rd string PG. I doubt that Elfrid Payton fall into the 2nd round, but I particularly like Jordan Clarkson who may be available when the Hornets come back around at #45

If Napier and Anderson aren't available, I'm down with Hairston.

For me its Payne and Napier, I like the talent these two have and they would be perfect bench players early on with the potential of being starters later down the road. Napier would be the perfect bench player to spot Kemba and can also learn from him since both went to UCONN.

TJ Warren would be a solid pickup, the dude can outright score and can drive to the basket very well. I could see him maybe getting a lot of Zellers minutes if he doesn't ramp up his offseason this summer. Also Napier would be a fantastic pick up simply because of our need at backup PG and to reunite him with Kemba.
