Nope, and I've never argued that I'm ONLY drafting on per minute production. Unless you can find that quote somewhere. I don't really understand what you're getting at. My original point was attacking the "he's only an 11/8 center!!" claim. It's not that relevant when taken out of context. Especially when you compare it to past top 5 bigs.
I don't get why it's so hard for people to grasp the concept that you are drafting on what you project players to be. Sure things like college production and current skill level factor in. But you aren't drafting them for what they did last year or even what they'll do as a rookie. You are drafting them for what you think they can be five years from now.
That contains multiple things. I am not a huge Parker fan because I don't think he ever projects to be a decent NBA defender... I think he's going to be bad on that side of the court his whole career. Now, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I eat crow and he turns out to be just fine on D and is an elite offense player. But I wouldn't pick him because that's my opinion.
I am a fan of Embiid because he has flashed all around skill and the ability to be dominant on both end for stretches. He has the body, he has the athletic ability, he has the coordination and the skillset to develop into a dominant two way player. His question mark, IMO, is his health... and I really could care less about that.
