If Jeremy Lamb was so good, do you think he would be riding the bench all playoffs long behind guys like Fisher, Sefolosha, and Reggie Jackson. Lamb is not some unheralded 20 point scorer OKC is saving for a rainy day. The dude has holes in his game and therefore isnt seeing the floor. I would be beyond pissed if we traded the 9th pick for him. I would maybe do the 24th and our second pick for him, but Idk if I would even do that.

The most exciting thing about the draft is you never know what you're gonna get, you could find a superstar in the making at any pick and that is what is nice, because some players just turn it on once they reach the NBA and others fallback into the shadows. I agree we havent done a great job of doing this of late, but it is bound to happen eventually.

Do you think Pacers knew what they were getting with Paul George? Portland with Lillard? Detroit with Drummond? or Warriors with Curry?

Picking in that 9th spot area can be a place where you can find a hidden gem. We already know for the most part that none of those guys are gonna become franchise players, so why not take a shot? Hell its not even certain they are starter material in likes of lamb and hardaway.

Its supposedly Scotty Brooks' fault. Lol.

Out of curiosity, what would adding zeller to the 9th pick likely do for trade value?
Two to three spots max? Backwards?

I'd sarcastically say backwards since Zeller isn't better than any prospect within the top-10, but I would be interested in seeing how far could Zeller packaged with #24 move the Hornets up. My guess would be somewhere between #13-20

Yeah, I don't really like zellers game too much at all, hence I threw out the negative value possibility. I want to like the kid but I just can't see him becoming a great player. Is it amazingly far fetched a team in the 4 to 6 range would consider zeller and 9 for say Exum?
Note, I really want Exum to be a hornet.

I really want Exum to be a Hornet too but it's not going to happen. He's going to be a Magic and I'm going to hate watching him play us.

I think it is hard for anyone to have this conversation until a legitimate trade rumor gets leaked. We have no idea how the GM's are valuing these top 10 draft picks.

Just figured I'd mention it here, even though I have no team in the fight, but it seems there's a debate here. This was brought up on the trade board, and concensus seems that a possibility if Minny went full rebuild and dealt Love is maybe 9 for K Mart/13 or 9/Neal for K Mart/13. Would either of those be of interest? Just curious, don't really have a team in it, but was glad to see you guys in the playoffs this year, Kemba and Big Al were a good watch!

I think 9 for Afflalo/12 is more likely.

I would love to dump Henderson so I guess if the Wolves or Magic would take him instead of Neal I'd be down for it.

Oh, we already have that poll up for a few days. I mentioned it in the other thread. OKC's answer is yes, and personally for sure if it's expanded to Lamb/21 for Hendo or Neal/9.

Edit: Maybe only Neal, not sure w/ Hendo.

Damn, nobody want Hendo. Lmao. They'd take Neal over Hendo. :rofl2:

I find myself hating this kid and for no real reason.

:D I agree that the 9,Hendo for 12 Afflalo is probably what happens.
Then
Since we already have Afflalo as our starting guard and Neal to backup .and the next 3 picks are guards
....I think that we might pull off another trade with PHX for Bledsoe and 18,27 for 12,45 and Pargo,Haywood?
Then at 18 we select TJ Warren SF/ PF, and at 27 we select Elird Payton PG.
With our own pick at 24 we select PJ Hairston SG
Team Lineup
KW,Bledsoe,Payton
Afflalo,Neal ,Hairston
MKG,TJW,JT
McBob (signed)Zellar, Tolliver (signed)
Al,Biz

hendo would be a good fit in OKC actually.

but i am in the minority probably, but i am not trading 9 and hendo for lamb and 21.
