Sam Dower would be an interesting summer league signing. Dude's got a nice post game and can hit the mid range jumper.

I'd rather take Embiid with a bum back than Exum if we're going for a shot in the dark.

At this point I'm settled on Wiggins or Parker

Or, if Cleveland passes on Embiid, I think it's a good indicator we should be drafting him. I mean, Cleveland doesn't exactly have the best history with their draft picks.

People are forgetting that Paul Pierce was known for his defense and steals out of college, unlike Parker who's known for his ole defense.

Parker actually reminds me a little more of T-Mac with his skill set. If he can commit himself to defending and being a leader, than he would be the best player in this draft (especially for the next 3 years while Embiid develops).

Thank god for this, and now I wont be upset about drafting any of the top 4 (Paker, Embiid, Exum or Wiggins)

Good read. That almost makes me want to take Embiid even if I can't see his medical docs/info.

I agree with like 99% of what scout #1 said. Good article.

Just came here to post this. I think it just re-emphasized a lot of the things people are saying about these guys, but went a step further in the criticism of Wiggins.

You want to base the decision we make on our pick off of the decision that a franchise as horrendous as Cleveland is making?

That doesn't seem like the best way to go about things.

umm no Cleveland front office sucks they drafted that fat canadian kid no 1. If that is any indicating to how that teams is run you take the guy they didn't want it's Cleveland they have no clue how a team is run. :naaa:

It pretty much reinforces what we all know at this point. With a clean bill of health, Embiid is the clear #1. I think the "tier system" is a bit flawed, but it also gives us a more complete visual of the talent gap between prospects. As of right now I'm sticking to:

Tier 1: Embiid, Wiggins

Tier 2: Exum, Parker

Tier 3: Smart, Vonleh, Randle, Gordon

I don't think anything there with regards to Wiggins was new, actually.

• underdeveloped skills
• passive on the court
• no go-to moves
• excellent in transition, poop in the half-court
• elite wing defender
• played in a system that wasn't really ideal if you're a wing prospect
• big time athleticism

I think it comes down to whether or not you think he improves on those holes in his game and the passivity he showed at times was just a product of youth/system. You're really gambling with him at #1.

As many holes as Wiggins has, every scout agreed that since his athleticism and defense is already elite, a coach will be able to play him big minutes which should help him develop. I think that is key if you are going to take him 1 or 2.

Those scouts make Wiggens sound like Marvin Williams, Embiid sound like Duncan, and Parker sound like T-Mac... I wish they did Exum

You calling someone dense is hilarious.

But the reason we should pass on Embiid is if WE look at him, and deem that his back is an issue, or he simply won't provide the medical. It's not like we are going to trust the Cavs to do all of the work for us, and if they pass on him they surely did it because he's hurt. That team can't draft for ****, I'm not trusting them on anything.

You can get defenders that can transition and have good size later in a draft. If we're picking a 6-8 wing, we have to believe he can be similar to what Durant is. So is that Parker or Wiggens?

I honestly don't even get what skones is trying to get at. I don't know what that 'Back, back, back' stuff was about or why he is calling people dense.

Why in the world would we trust the Cavs on any front? That organization is a train wreck and basing any decision you make off of a decision that they make is just downright foolish.
