Charlotte Hornets Big Board #2

Post#1 » by amcoolio » Thu May 22, 2014 9:07 pm

With 99% of precincts reporting Wiggins has a 16 point advantage, so I say we can call it and make him the top of our big board.

The next two votes probably won't be as interesting either.

HORNETS REALGM BIG BOARD

1. Andrew Wiggins, SG/SF, Kansas
2.

E: I just now saw that Fats wanted a 2 day per prospect for the top 10, didn't see that before making. My bad. You can lock this until tomorrow or delete this thread then, although I think Wiggins is the runaway and everyone has voted at this point. Just super excited about everything recently. Although there are 35 days til the draft and we likely will need the full 30 days for first round picks considering our draft slots

No brainer here. Jabari brings a much needed scoring punch to our lineup and while fit might be an issue with our current personnel you can't pass up a likely guarenteed 18-20 PPG scorer right off the bat.

I don't know how Andrew Wiggins went over Jabari Parker. I wouldn't worry about fit with a future star like Parker. I would trade MKG away in a nanosecond for Parker, and I'm very optimistic of MKG

I went Parker, but this was tough for me. If Embiid is healthy I think he turns out to be the better overall player. Embiid could be our starting C in the 2015-16 season if Big Al opts out and next year he could probably play along side him in some instances. We just really really need perimeter scoring and a go to guy down the stretch and even though size typically wins over everything, for us, perimeter scoring is the most glaring issue at hand for now and the forseeable future.

Had to re-vote to break the Parker/Embiid tie breaker. I don't like Embiid enough to ignore the health and fit issues.

Parker is not over weight according to reports and pictures from his workouts today. Some even saying he looks like he has toned up some.

Think I'd still rather have parker. Embiid doesnt wow me like other people and we'd have an awful logjam at center. Plus Al is going to log major minutes anyway.

Embiid. Parker is fine and him and Embiid have the same issue of fit but I think MKG is a more important piece than Al moving forward so I would go with the higher upside of Embiid.

What kind of trade offers do you think Embiid would get and who would you trade him for?
