Which Big Name Free Agent Power Forward do you want the most?

Assuming we go with a wing player at 9, who do you like best?

Possible Roster Construction....

Kemba-Vazquez?-24th pick
9th pick- Hendo- Neal
MKG- Taylor- CDR
Poll Result- Zeller
Big Al- Biz- 45th pick

I think our front office should be calling Minnesota nonstop to try to put together a package for Love. This is pretty much the only realistic thing we could possibly do to make us a real threat in the next two years. Its likely that no one we could draft at 9 will be as good as Love.

We don't have enough of a package to get Love, and I doubt he'd agree on an extension to come here. None of the other options are attractive to me. Signing McBob is an option but I don't view him as our answer as a starter. Zeller might move into that role but it is too soon to know. Monroe is not a real 4.

My 1st preference is to sign Lance Stephenson as our SG. Then seek to trade a pick & player to acquire a quality 4.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Zeller was a top 5 pick. He better develop into the starter next year or GTFO. So I'll go with retain McBob for the low before overpaying for those other options that are meh.

A option that's not on there that I'd be all over is trying to trade for Taj Gibson if the Bulls if they go after Melo like expected.

I voted re-sign McBob on the basis that first, Love won't want to come to Charlotte and Minny won't take that offer anyways, and second, all the other guys are overrated and would demand way too much money (Pau, Randolph, Boozer, Monroe) or wouldn't come here (Dirk). Gortat is the only one I'd really have interest in, and he's not even a power forward.

Keep McRoberts, keep developing Zeller, sign a SG or SF in free agency.

if all it took to get love was hendo, 9 and zeller i'd do that in a heartbeat, even if love didnt agree to an extension. I think thats is a serious lowball offer for love.

Minnesota would at least want Zeller, MKG, 9, and 24 for Love, and even that might not be enough.

Why isn't 'Other' a option?

Taj Gibson is my top PF target this offseason. Chicago are almost sure to be engaged in talks to find a suitor for Gibson's services as they attempt to sign/trade for Carmelo Anthony or Kevin Love in the coming months

If we could land Gibson I'd be ecstatic. He's one of the more underrated power forwards in this league and would fit well beside Big Al.

We need another big that can play defense so no to Hawes, Boozer, and Monroe (or Love for that matter). Randolph, Gasol, and Dirk are never coming here so I don't know why they're in the poll. As other have said Gibson would be a great target if the Bulls need to offload his contract, he's my choice.

we dont have a chance in hell to get Zach,Dirk,Pau(said the teams he is considering), Gortat is a center or K-Love because he dont have the assets, might as well start Zeller and sign a good back up like Ed Davis

People keep saying who will or want come to Charlotte, but people said the same thing about Al Jefferson, they signed him didn't they?

Trust, if Charlotte offered Randolph the right amount of money, he'll consider. He seems like the Big Al type, dont really care where they play.

Pau already named the teams he would want to play for, Dirk is staying in Dallas.

If they could find a way to trade for K Love I'll like that also, I think he'll sign with Charlotte, knowing we are in the East, he'll make the playoffs every year, if that's what he is worried about.

Also think Taj Gibson would be a perfect fit next to Al Jefferson. If the Bulls are really trying to get Melo or Love they would be looking to move him.

Beyond Dirk, I don't think any of these guys certainly wouldn't come here. Randolph will follow the money, Gasol has been linked to us. I just don't want either because he are old, play no defense, and will be overpaid. In Boozer's case, he's just terrible all around.

Love, I'm uncertain about. I'd like him, and even though he isn't a great defender, he's great everywhere else so he'd be worth it. If we could get him for 9, Hendo, and Zeller I'd jump on it, if I knew he'd stay long term. I just question his willingness to play in Charlotte.

Jefferson - Monroe - MKG would be just as bad offensively as Drummond - Monroe - Smith was in Detroit. Just doesnt fit. our 4 has to be able to stretch the floor, end of story.

no thanks to Love. Way too expensive, way too low reward. One of the most overrated players in recent history.
It's nice that he helps fantasy teams, but in real life his numbers never translate into wins.

We would be unstoppable with Dirk or Kevin Love but neither is a realistic target. Next to them... I'd say Taj Gibson via trade, Noah Vonleh if he falls, or just stick with McRoberts.
