if you love UNC products to no end, would you be okay with drafting James McAdoo? the kid isn't going to be anywhere near his "uncle" but he is 6-9, can score and can rebound. i don't know if he has the 3 point range to be our starting SF, but he sure can replace Reggie sitting on the bench as our 14th man.

I want Reggie to stay. He isn't far off being NBA ready. Do you guys think Spencer Hawes could be an option since the Cavs have Zeller for a back up?

Ehhh idk about JMM. He went from surefire top prospect to out of the lottery to now at best a late rd 1 pick.
He was better last season that before but I was very surprised when he said he was coming out after this season. I thought he would've benefited from staying for his sr season and trying to make a deeper tourney run while improving his game

well if we would rather keep reggie and say no to zaza, then i would think that we are probably in need of a free agent center to come in on a discount deal. I don't see baby not taking money if presented for him in the open market. is there a potential sign and trade scenario where the free agents team that would be interested in Dudley?

you just never can tell jus what Dan Gilbert is up to. he seems to be just another James Dolan to me and I don't know exactly what blueprint of rebuilding course they are taking so, will they trade or not re-sign Hawes? will they bring Howes back in? is Howes a part of their future? do they even have a future???

can't tell.

but they do have the #1 pick and they should be picking up one of the dynamic SFs at the top of the draft, so I doubt they have a need for dudley.

What do you guys think of this? Some clipper fans liked it on the T&T board and Raptor fans as well

To TOR: Jared Dudley + #28
To LAC: TE + #37

Save money for Paul Pierce, pickup a guy like Dinwiddle at #37

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

That's not bad, not sure everyone thinks we need to go down in he draft to get rid of Dudley.

Dinwiddle should not be the choice though, the most important area we want from a wing, defense is what he's questionable at. Both the SG's on this team are scorers. I'd like a guy like Thanasis to develop as a defensive wing.

It's not a bad deal by any means, fairly balanced.

are you kidding me? we would do this in a new york minute!

Doc doesn't play rookies, and we already have a young player we need to develop in Bullock. this move will erase the mistake that is Jered Dudley off of our payroll and allow us to make some additions that gains a mulligan at the starting SF spot. on top of all that, at #37, we are losing 9 spots at the middle of the draft where there are still quality players if your scouts are doing their job, and there is no guaranteed contract to go with the player on the roster.

no doubt we pull the trigger on this, if ever proposed.

Well many raptor fans like the deal to target Inglis at #28. So If I was Masai you would have a deal.

Trade Exception.

we are essentially trading down 9 positions to get rid of Dudley for cap relief.

Not that it's big thing but I could see Masai sending Hansbrough instead of the TE. He's only 1 million guaranteed if waived before June 29th. So would a Hansbrough + #37 + #59 for Dudley + #28 deal still work? You would still save 3.25 million by waiving Hans and the cost of the 1st round pick (since they are guaranteed). It does clear the 1 million off our cap though which is why I think he would first try that.

I think Jordan Bachynski at #59 would be a cheap 7 footer to play minutes behind DAJ.

I understand y'all want to see the back of Dudley asap, but let me ask you this, what benefit does that supposed cap relief give us? we're still gonna be way over the cap, so we aren't gonna be able to sign anybody with those S4 million, and we'll lose an expiring to throw into trades next year. And on top of that we give a 1st? picks are valuable with this CBA, you don't waste them to get rid of insignificant salaries.

With boston possibly going further into tank mode, maybe we could acquire Jeff Green?

Dudley is literally useless. I'd rather dress 11 players

The TPE might not be able to help us sign a player, but we may use it in a trade to acquire a player?

TPE can't be combined with other players, so if we want to do that it is better to keep Dudley

Good points, I actually would try and get Phoenix's 27th pick from them if possible.
