I cannot, in a million years, fathom Embiid not going #1 in this class. He's a legit franchise changing prospect.

Burton is going to have a long NBA career as a roleplayer with A++ lockerroom presence. Love him at 36.

I'll add to your silly optimism. Sanders is 10x the player Perkins is.

What would you give up to move up to #1?

I'd hope that the most I'd have to give up would be the Golden State package. The #2 pick and three future 1sts. Obviously the hope being that the core is good enough to keep the Bucks out of the high lotto for the next five years.

Giannis and the #2 might be too much to swallow.

That he wants to be a combination of Stephen Curry/Jamal Crawford/Westbrook, and that he admitted he was lazy on defense. Those are what I didn't like.

Unless something truly scary happens with his back, Embiid is going to be the consensus #1 by draft day. I can't foresee being able to actually pry the pick away from Cleveland.

If you do draft another player that is prone to defer, are you okay with Brandon Knight or some end of the line veteran being the dominant offensive personality on your team yet again? I would hope not.

As my man Booker T would say, "OH HEYL NO, DAWG." Part of the reason why we were historically bad last season was because we depended so much on Knight's offense.

You have to know that Knight's mindset after last season is, "I had a pretty good year. Proved a lot of people wrong. Once we get more players to complement me, we'll be fine".

What we would have to give up to get #1 from Cleveland would be a pyrrhic victory if Embiid's back does check out, we have to be able to build a team around the guy we pick.

I think this is a good point. Giannis is a transition player, but isn't and may never become a premium creator and shot-maker in the half-court offense or after 10 seconds in the shot clock. Parker's offensive skills and shot-making creativity might be a very nice complement. Obviously you want BPA, but all things being equal, complementing skill-sets could be a tiebreaker. Often in the playoffs it's the ability to create decent shots and to score against very good defenses, and to make difficult defended shots, that wins games.

If Parker is lesser and Giannis is better defensively, perhaps you don't automatically assign one to the SF and the other to the PF. Perhaps that would become a game-by-game matchup decision, with Giannis being assigned to the more dangerous scorer and Parker the lesser? Might make no sense against quick SF, though, who Giannis probably can't defend well.

His game looks so fluid and effortless. Granted it's a lot of 1-on-none drills but all the movements look natural. And the back looked to not be a problem. As much as I want Wiggins, I'm just glad we got 2 and can draft Embiid if Wiggins goes #1.

Yea, Embiid looks really good there. I would love for the Bucks to get him. I would even trade up with Cleveland to get him.

dont know how you guys are so quick to judge giannis' playmaking ability considering we never saw him with the ball in his hands last year. also he had a ridiculous free throw rate last year which bodes well for when he does get the ball and shows he has the chance to be a playmaker.

anyone who can get to the line like he can, will always be worth a lot of points.

What did he say that you didn't like?

Unrealistic appraisal of his own game, inability to acknowledge his glaring weaknesses. Assumption that everyone was on his side, constant basketball clichés thrown around without real context for what they meant. Seems caught up in his own little bubble and for someone who has massive holes in his game I wouldn't waste resources trying to push that ish uphill. Cockiness is helpful when you're Kobe but if you're Zach LaVine you need to admit you're a college bench player and you have a mountain to climb.

:banghead:

I'm not trading up for anybody. If anything I'm trading back to 3 and adding more assets. His workout looked terrific. So did Odens, Kwames, Jianlians, and Joe Alexanders. I'm certainly not going to drastically change my opinion based off of 'workouts'.

Wow. Can we get Isaiah Austin in the second round and give him some burn at SG? (kidding of course).

He does look great in his video, though.

No way am I trading back. The Bucks need to get who they think is the best player in this draft, not settle.

How would you compare Embiid to Anthony Davis?
