What about having Harrison Barnes at the 3 Spot for Detroit?

Sure but how do we get him? Monroe will be too expensive for them seeing as they have Lee and Bogut who are currently better for a borderline contender.

He isn't actually good, but in any case why do you sign your posts with your username? You know that's pointless, right?

Plus, we already have a thread or two for this topic.

Hes worth picking up in my opinion. He was a stud in college and has shown potential at times inbthe pros. Hes also only 21 years old still.

He is pretty lack luster, I wouldn't do anything involving Monroe for him, and I doubt GS wants Monroe with having Lee.

^That's why you search for threads before starting new ones on the same topic.

At this point, I would probably rather have Draymond Green over Harrison Barnes. Not that impressed by Barnes at all.

Yeah I would take Green over him.

Sign and trade Stuckey for Barnes & Speights. I'd add a couple of future 2nd round picks to get it done. I think Stuckey would be a great fit for Golden State.

Why not give Datome & Charlie for Barnes?

C'mon now -- no one is giving up anything for Stuckey or CV in an S&T. CV is a vet min player at best, and Stuckey certainly isn't good enough to get an extra year. These guys are gone and will return nothing but cap space. Be realistic.

Well, Charlie is a free agent so you can't trade him. Datome shot like 19% from 3. Why would GSW do that trade EVEN IF it was possible? Barnes is not very good IMO, but it would be worth keeping him over a crap package.

Yes, I'd like to give Barnes a try at our SF spot. He's young, and if he improves, could be a great addition to our core. But what do we have to give up to get him?

I wouldn't mind Barnes but I just don't see any way we would trade for him. I wouldn't give up Moose for him and the warriors aren't going to trade him for smith. There is no one else on our roster who could get him imo, I definitely wouldn't trade KCP for him as I think KCP is better. I think we are better off going after someone else.

Barnes isn't worth more than a late first round pick or a couple of second rounders.

People are still high on him based purely on his hype coming out of college. He literally had one good playoff game over a year ago. That's his resume. That's it!

He's very athletic, but isn't a good decision maker or skilled player.

I would trade for him if the cost was fair, but I wouldn't even sacrifice a good role player for him.

I would love to get Barnes. I think he would greatly improve if given the minutes and Im sure SVG would be able to put him in situations to succeed. Locking down 4 starting spots with high potential young players like KCP, Barnes, Monroe, and Drummond would be a dream come true. Barnes can also should the 3 and defend. Although, I think it would take a 3 team deal to get him here. Maybe something with Smith or Jennings going to the 3 third team and Barnes coming here.

i would love barnes, but it would depend on the cost. I still think he can be a very good player, however he isn't that player yet. We do need a player with his skill set at the #8 position
