Smith, Bynum, Jerebko to the Bucks for Mayo and Ilyasova

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=onznc3r

- Mayo's and Ilyasova's contracts are 1 year shorter than Joshs contract
- both can actually shoot the 3 but had terrible off years
- Ilyasova is a stretch 4 and could work well with both Dre and Moose off the bench, a good coach can get something out of Mayo (see Dallas and Carlisle) - Mayo and KCP would be a decent duo at SG
- by including Bynum and Jerekbo it give the Pistons 5 more million instant capspace for this summer to look for a starting PG and SF

Bucks get a starting PF and rid of 2 disappointing players from last season. The only downside is that we could be stuck with three 8 mil bench players for the next 2 years. I fully expect Stan brings in a new starting PG like Lowry and maybe a SF like Wes Johnson.

Lowry/Jennings/Siva
KCP/Mayo
Wes Johnson/Singler/Datome
Monroe/Ilyasova/Mitchell
Dre/Jorts

Mayo would be a nice pick-up, but Smith is worth more than Mayo+Illyasova(Both aren't even starting caliber players). And it's highly unlikely we'll sign Lowry when we just signed Jennings last summer. Wes Johnson seems like a realistic option though.

Smith is better in the right situation but sadly we can't offer him that situation, so we pick up some players that make way more sense..

Monroe can't be traded straight up for a draft pick. Monroe hasn't been signed yet.

Trade forum:
Pistons deal: Josh Smith, Kyle Singler, Josh Harrelson, #38 overall pick
Kings deal: Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, Travis Outlaw #8 overall pick
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I honestly don't think we have to give up Kyle or #38, but I still would do it.

Either Monroe or Smith will be a bench player very soon if SVG keeps both. Smiths contract will not bring back a lot more value. And i am very sure SVG already realized that Jennings is by no means a starting PG in this league.

I understand what you're saying and I agree to a certain extent. But can we at least get more value compared to those two players? In that trade scenario we pick-up one who just almost an entire season(Mayo) and the other who's never known to play defense and also has health issues(Ilyasova).

Why not just communicate with Denver and offer Smith+Singler for Chandler+McGee/or Faried? Then we don't have to take terrible Lin and give up another 1st rounder.

It's highly unlikely that we bench Smith(14 mil) or Monroe(10-12mil). I don't know where this notion is coming from and I really hope some of you guys don't honestly believe that(that's just my opinion). Jennings definitely has his work cut out for him(defensively and FG% wise), I think SVG will give him an another opportunity to prove his a capable starter.

Kyrie is one of the few players I would trade Monroe for. Can't believe the cavs are wavering at a 22 year old all star.

I like Monroe but I would trade him for a lot of players. Anyways if we could ever get the Cavs to be interested in Monroe then I would do Monroe, KCP and a 1st.

I would trade whatever for Irving except Drummond and KCP (KCP is a PERFECT fit for Irving). I don't like Irving at all, but he's got an incredible talent and him and Drummond could be a nightmare couple for the other teams. Anyway he needs to play defense right now, I think he could be great with SVG.

Hello! I got some new hot trades for y'all!!!!

1st:

This is not a trade, are two trades but they come together if we deal with the Warriors and agree with this:

Monroe S&T & Smith for Barnes and Lee.

We're giving more than we receive, but we got 2 players who fit so well in our team and we're giving two who doesn't fit at all. We get shooters who can spread the floor for Drummond.

2nd:

This is not a trade, are two trades but they come together if we deal with the Celtics and agree with this:

Monroe S&T & Smith for Green, Sullinger, Bass and 17 pick. The Celtics with Rondo, the 6th pick, and an good interior couple with Monroe and Smith, are ready to compete, and to try to keep Rondo in the team.

3rd:

Monroe S&T for Reggie Jackson, PJ III and Perkins.
Smith for Green and Bass and/or 17 pick.

4th:

Monroe S&T for Ryan Anderson.
Smith can play as SF with Anderson outside and he posting creating a missmatch on offense, on defense depends of the opponent he could play as SF or PF.

I don't know if they would accept just Monroe for Irving. While opinions on him vary, the Cavs would likely demand a king's ransom for him.

Kyrie isn't available, all the talk was just message sending to him, a shot across his bow, to focus more on on-court stuff and less on being a super star off the court stuff.

Embiid will be the Cleveland pick, and if it isn't (I will laugh) and it will be Wiggins and Cleveland will look to trade Waiters for a big/center. Waiters for Monroe would make a lot more sense - but I can't see either team wanting to trade their player within the division.

No to the first one
Maybe on the second one. Get a third team involved so we'll get more value.

Easy yes. We dump Smith, add some nice depth, AND get a lottery pick? That would be a dream trade.

Thommpson and Landry make as much as smith for as many years. Just remember that.

That's fine. Both have been good role players in the past so at least they can help out. Thompson makes 5.5mil and Landry makes 6.5mil. Those two contracts would be easier to manage than one big contract imo. We also get the 8th pick coming back.

Smart/Jennings
KCP/Stuckey
Free Agent/Outlaw
Monroe/Landry
Drummond/Thompson

I could live with that to start the season. At least we get the biggest cancer off our team and get a lottery pick in return.
