I do understand however that he means alot to your franchise.

So your not a Knick fan, but your here baiting?

Dude just stop you're acting very defensive and you're embarassing yourself. I never said he was a crap player; I said that he probably isn't worth a max contract BUT he does mean alot to your franchise seeing as he dragged it into the playoffs on his shoulders. IDC if you're taking offense to what I'm saying, seeing as you have failed to address my point and can't even defend him on a topic where the stats clearly aren't in his favour, but I'm done responding to childish posters so you're now on my ignore list please don't waste anyone else's time :)

Melo will get a max deal on any team he goes to and yes he's worth it. Gtfo and go back to the groupie section on the heat forum

Why is he worth it? I'd find a large number of Knicks fans that disagree with you so why don't you do constructive and point out why he's worth it instead of crying about someone else's opinion?

Would you guys trade us Melo ?

No i'm serious.

How about this deal:

BOS gets: Melo

NYK gets: Green, Bass, Hump S&T, better pick BOS/BKN 2017, + BKN 1st 2018

Bass expiring, Green player option in 15-16. Hump 1st year guaranteed, so he expires too. 3 expirings and 2 picks for Melo.

That offer is rickrolling all right. If we're taking back mediocre players, then we better be getting the best possible 1st round draft pick each year until 2018.

if the celtics drafted exum this year, I'd take him over one those brooklyn picks (maybe both)

right now knicks are loaded at SG/SF, but i like a guy who will play perimeter defense. he's not coming off a good, slightly overhyped post season run like he did with the lakers, so he shouldn't demand more than the $7 million + that he is coming off of.

only problem is it will cut into 2015 plan. my only concern with that is a repeat of 2010

We're not really loaded with true small forwards but more of shooting guards playing small forward.

Been out of the country but word on the street is that the Kings are looking to move the number 8 picks for outside shooting and veteran leadership. Armed with the expiring contracts of Jason Terry, Aaron Gray, Travis Outlaw, and Derrick Williams.

Does the combination of Tyson Chandler and Kevin Martin for #8 and expiring contracts fit the bill for the Kings? Most likely they will need a late 1st round pick going back their way. Would MINN dump Kevin Martin in a salary dump if they move Love and start over? Just an idea.

You associated Tyson Chandler with veteran leadership; I visited dictionary.com to make sure I was right, and I was. That is considered an "oxymoron," or a figure of speech that juxtaposes elements that appear to be contradictory.

true. But when he signed here and was in a spot where he cared he was a leader. Hopefully we can show the Kings video from the 2011 finals and fool them.

Ironically, it is we who are in most need of veteran leadership.

again true, but Tyson Chandler isn't part of our future plans (2015 cap space) so it's smart to sacrifice a little this year to pick up a future asset. Weather we want to admit it or not were rebuilding while the Kings have their core and are looking for the final pieces to make a playoff push.

Do we know that? It's not a lock that we can find a replacement defensive big in 2015 free agency.

the plan is to use cap space to sign all stars. In order to do that Tyson's bird rights will need to be renounced, meaning we can not go over the cap to resign him. so yes, we do know that.

KG was an MVP caliber player; totally different to Melo.
Ray Allen no, Paul Pierce is about the same as Melo so no.

Where do I sign? I'd drive Tyson to the airport in his capris.

Think SAC would do the deal directly with MIN to get Kmart. Also why wouldn't they just go all in for Love & Kmart? They could send picks (including the 8th this yr), young players (McLemore etc).

Is the #8 pick and Ben McLemore enough to land Kevin Love?
