This one should be an interesting vote. It seems to me that after the first 4 there is a good drop off. I went with Vonleh here, but you could make a case for about 5-6 guys in this spot.

I have randle and vonleh as 5a and 5b right now. I don't think randle has done anything to justify getting knocked from this spot. But it really opens up now depending on what role we want to fill.

This is where things will get interesting. I like Julius Randle quite a bit, but it seems more of you guys like Vonleh.

Re: Charlotte Hornets Big Board #5
I went with Julius Randle. He's still very young and plays with high intensity. I think he's just beginning to scratch the surface of his talents and an improved jump shot should secure him as a nightly double-double threat. Vonleh is close.
But honestly guys, I like Stauskas enough to take him 5 so I really see little difference between pick 5 and pick 10 in this draft.
For me it's like we're getting a top 5 pick!!!!

This was easy for me because I don't think Randle is a good pick.

Same 5, but I would have Wiggins at #2. Rest of order is what I have for my top 5.

Re: Charlotte Hornets Big Board #5
can somebody make the argument for vonleh for me in 100 words or so? i've only seen highlights but i don't understand what makes this guy a top-5 prospect in a loaded class.

With his 7-4 wingspan and solid 247 pound frame, Vonleh has the body, length and intensity-level needed to compete on the interior in the NBA. He shows some ability to score both inside and out, flashing hook shots over either shoulder and range out to the 3-point line he is also is the second youngest prospect (after Aaron Gordon) in this draft class and ranks as the #1 rebounder among top-100 prospects at nearly 15 rebounds per-40 minutes.

He's young with lots of potential. Has great size and strength. NBA power forward. Great rebounder. Shown the ability to score out of the post and, though in a very small sample size, has been good jump shooter. He's just very raw offensively. Defensively he needs to improve his technique as well, but his size alone makes him a good man defender.
Basically, if you take him you're banking that you can develop his potential into something special.
Personally, I feel that Randle and Gordon are more advanced in their games right now but that Vonleh has far more potential than either.

Vonleh just doesn't pass my eye test, his game is so vanilla.
Randle's the kind of guy I'd want to go to war with.

I'm gonna steal your idea of keeping the running big board as we go.
1. Wiggins
2. Parker
3. Embiid
4. Vonleh
5. Randle
Yeah I was the one guy who voted Vonleh fourth. I've been a fan of his for - gosh - like 2.5 years now? I remember first researching the guys at the top of this class - Wiggins, Parker, and Randle mainly - and really liking this kid as well. I didn't expect him to grow into a top 5 prospect, but it was pretty cool to watch his progression. However, if he becomes a Laker or Celtic I will hate him forever.
EDIT: We've also got more votes on this one now than we did on the last 2, and only one less than the Embiid-Parker vote. Maybe time to open the next vote?
