Barcelona is interested in Ivan Rakitic, joining Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United in pursuing the Sevilla captain.
Barcelona is prepared to offer €25 million, which is the closest any club has come to Rakitic's €40 million release clause.
Rakitic seemed to have a deal in place with Atleti, but that was put on hold when Real emerged.
Barcelona is also interested in a deal for Koke, so moves for him and Rakitic would further cloud the future of Cesc Fabregas and Xavi.
