I voted for Marcus Smart. It's hard to ignore his defense and how well he's scored on advanced statisical metrics over the last two years.

Randle and Jefferson would make us beastly in the paint. Randle would have to improve his interior passing but could score on a lot of NBA PFs right now

Randle. You won't find Smart anywhere near my top 10. Thought long and hard about putting Zach Lavine in this slot due to our needs, but ultimately, Randle is the better prospect.
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Charlotte Hornets Big Board #6
I went Smart. I know he is going to be good. Big, strong, atheltic PG that can get to the rim with ease and be an elite defender. Needs to work on his shot though, his isn't broken. He can also play along side Kemba and let kemba play off the ball and run off screens to get open and allow him to get in the lane easier. I like PGs like i like RBs in the NFL, one big one and one small one unless you have an elite guy that can do it all. This would give us that. I also believe he will be better than Kemba in the future which gives us options.
With Randle, I just don't know if he will be good. He will be able to rebound that is obvious, but can he defend in the post? Can he score over length? Can he develop an outside game that will be necessary for him to succeed on offense? His measurements are a red flag to me. If we can get him at #9 I would be OK with that, but that isn't the question here.

I think Randle has won this one. Should we move on to #7?
