To be fair, they aren't all going to be exactly the same in every aspect. But hey, not having that athleticism may stop him from blowing out both knees like DRose did!

The guy is going to have so many problems scoring in the NBA, he might actually end up leading the league in shot attempts that were blocked by the defense.

:uhoh: you're right...he's a better scorer than Zach was and double the rebounder and the same height.

Randle is 6'8" - 6'9" in shoes and put up 15&10 his freshman year (this year)

Zach is 6'9", and put up 10&5 his freshman year

So how exactly is he going to have problems? The dude draws like the most fouls in the game (in college) if not top 2...he's a beast. I'm not sure how you could be so off?

I agree he's not like zBo other than his low center of gravity, but I think he'll surprise on the blocks thing. He's lefty and he's crafty. I think he will have early success and then he will have to learn to use his right hand effectively in a hurry.

lol true. I think he'll be unique. I posted in another thread that I think he's similar to a Nate Robinson in terms of his build, and intensity. I also think he's similar to a JKidd in terms of his rebounding ability and post up ability. With his power and speed he drives the lane like a DRose/Westbrook with no fear but less athleticism...however, much more power. This kid is going to have an immediate-Lillard type impact to the team he goes to provided he gets the starting job like those guys did (Rose, WB, Lillard).

You are literally the first person probably at any level in the NBA community to think this.

Zach's range, footwork and jumpshot look like the GOAT when compared next to Randle's.

"I'll never understand why people are comparing Zach to Randle"...people as in plural. Therefore I guess I'm not the only one according to your statement (especially considering that if you watch the combine coverage/draft previews, you can clearly see analysts, scouts, draft experts, writers, reporters and even Julius himself compare him to Zach).

You said he wasn't the scorer Zach was either at that stage and I simply showed he scored more. I watch them both so I don't have to read an article. NBA comparisons are not meant to be exact dude. But if he's similar in a big portion of ways then that's who he's compared to, to give everybody an idea of what to expect.

He's similar in height, weight, wingspan, shooting hand, demeanor, bully ball in the paint, outside shooting ability(better than people think), rebounding, and being a black hole on offense.

Your flip side is that his footwork isn't as good and his jumpshot not as polished....yet.

So, there's like 9 reasons and more to compare him and only 1-2 reasons not too...I'd say that there's good enough evidence supporting why people could say Randolph to give an idea as to what to expect. Stop taking it so literal.

Gordon between the 2....never want to get a player with "questionnable iq" this is in the mold of Blatche, Mcgee type bigs who also had questionable iq, both had high ceilings as far as potential goes but that IQ thing leads to more than just on court. Off court, low iq players aren't motivated to get better, hardly work on improving their games. Blatche is still a moron offensively if given the chance and Mcgee well we seen what he's cappable off the good and the extremely bad. Gordon in terms of talent and skill probabaly doesn't match up to Vonley based on the scouting reports but personally I think he'll work harder than Vonley to get better, imagine if Walton had Gordon athletic ability with his "iq" I mean Luke pretty much lasted nearly a decade in this league with his Morrison like athleticism but he knows how to help make teammates better, helps with the coaching staff, etc.
