not sure how legit this source is because this guy is the only one reporting these news, but this would be pretty big for the Heat if true. Didn't think Bosh would be willing to take a paycut because he's already the one sacrificing the most out of the big 3.

I have no idea. Bosh is earning the most money of the big 3 (or used to). How much $$ can the Heat spend and who is coming back and who is going - I'm waiting for the play-offs to end

Everyone just keeps assuming there's no way the Big 3 turn down more money again....I think they like playing together enough and see the benefits that winning has that they'll be willing to take less money once again to stay together. There's no reason to break up a dynasty over money. They probably open up more opportunities by winning as long as they can than by just going for the most money they can make. And Bosh knows that the Heat org will take care of him and his family long after he's retired. I really wouldn't be surprised if all three of them retire as Heat.

If he wants to stay he has to take a pay cut

Both Wade and Bosh have to take paycuts to make it work. LeBron I don't think should take a paycut... this dude is the best player in the game, they shouldn't low ball him like that.

Atleast both Wade and Bosh take 15mil a year. I think that's reasonable lol.

Ray Allen and Battier (I don't know if Ray will try another year...) are going to retire. The Heat need some room to add some role players in next year.

Man this will be a busy summer.

Assuming the big 3 combined take up about $50m of the cap after restructured contracts, that leaves us $22m to spread out to the rest of the team. lol.

Dan Lebatard: "You are taking a discounted rate to stay in Miami?"

Chris Bosh: "If that's what it takes yeah... I love it here, I don't want to go anywhere."
"As for me personally, I don't truly care how much I make these days, my main focus is on playing for a winner." - Dirk Nowitzki, July 2016

People need to consider the very real scenario that some of the big 3 just opt in for one more year. It's a lot of money to leave on the table. I'm not sure how much they'd have to cut for it to be truly useful either.

Battier is retiring. Allen is gonna play one more at least. We will retool with guys who are otherwise overlooked or thought to be washed up and they will end up contributing here. some names to think about...Fransisco Garcia, Vince Carter, Rodney Stuckey, Grevis Vasquez, Mo Wiliams, Ben Gordon,. Garcia is my favorite of the group..perfect fit on paper

Re-post of what I said in another thread:

Why are people acting surprised? Bosh has said on multiple occasions how much he loves it here in Miami. Money isn't the end all be all when you're living in a beautiful city while being an integral piece of a potential dynasty.

These types of opportunities are extremely rare and Bosh knows this.

You forgot the Green. All of those players are washed up except for Vasquez who will probably resign with Toronto.

15 mill for Wade and Bosh each? Without even doing the numbers how much are we offering LeBron? Win or lose we need to retool and bring in not just avg role players but very good players.

Wait, are you telling me a 16/6 power forward is not worth the max?

He is worth the max. That's not even the question though. He wants to stay.
