Realgm 2014 Fan Mock Draft
Pick a team and when your turn comes, select a player not already selected and write a brief reason why your team took that player.

Joel Embiid - The Cavs have long needed a shot blocker down low. Plus, Embiid brings great athleticism for his position and an advanced offensive skillset even though he's only played bball since 2011. He has the highest potential in the draft and should make a huge difference for our team.

MIL-Andrew Wiggins:
MIL continues to rebuild by pairing Wiggins with Giannis as their Wings of the Future. With Giannis and Wiggins, MIL has the groundwork for a Great Defensive team that is devastating in transition.

Jabari Parker....Easy to build with a player like parker when you have Noel and MCW already and the #10 pick in the draft...Scoring in the halfcourt is imperative to win playoff games and he can do that in a multitude of ways...
His ability to get to the free throw line is also an under-rated asset of his

Orlando
Dante Exum - Magic can use a back court teammate to go along with Oladipo. Magic can also use a PF, so Randle is an option, but Exum seems to have the higher ceiling. Marcus Smart is also an option, but with his size and skill set, it seems redundant when the Magic already have Oladipo. Its unclear who will be PG for the Magic, but both Oladipo and Exum have PG skills and with a 6'5 and 6'6 back court, it would cause alot of miss matches in favor for the Magic.

Utah- Julius Randle
The fan base voted in a thread on the Utah board. Randle came out on top. Why? Wide body. Respectable size for position. Spin moves and developing post game, puts the ball on the floor and is explosive for his size, makes his free throws, developing his mid range jumper, very athletic for his build, already has a nose for rebounding, has good lateral quickness for his size which is important in a PnR league, improving passer out of double team, gave good interviews and just wants to improve as a basketball player, sounds like a guy willing to learn and train with Karl Malone.

Re: Realgm 2014 Fan Mock Draft
Boston - Noah Vonleh
The other 2 Boston fans said Smart. I would be happy with that as well. I just see Vonleh having a higher upside. Kid is 6 9 with a 7'3" wingspan. Tree trunk legs. Decent rebounder. He would be higher if he was more athletic but he has a great post game and is a good shooter at the FT line at 71% and can shoot it out to the 3 point line. BUT he also seems to be redundant being a kid who seems like he can average a double double, but Boston already has 2 young kids like that in Sullinger and Olynyk if they don't get traded. We will see.
Smart seems to me to have a great motor, has great athleticism, and is a bulldog - but im concerned with his attitude. I shouldn't have posted, sorry fellow Celtic ans - this is just my opinion and like I said I would be happy with either. I just see Vonleh as the better prospect as of today. If Smart could play alongside Rondo as a 2, I would be happier. Exum/Wiggins/Parker wouldve been my ultimate choice in this draft but the luck wasnt in our favor this year.

The Boston board had a thread about this already with a poll. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1323410
The pick would be Smart based on those results.

Re: Realgm 2014 Fan Mock Draft
Lakers would take Aaron Gordon, only 18 and is likely the best athlete in the draft with quickness comparable to point guards, which is very helpful in a league where the big ends up so often switching onto the guards on pick and rolls. If he can add a good off the ball game, some average post moves and improve on his free throw shooting he is a perennial all star with excellent defensive ability.

Re: Realgm 2014 Fan Mock Draft
Last time I did this I selected Eric Bledsoe for the Toronto Raptors with the 13th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft over the likes of Ed Davis. You wouldn't believe the criticism I got that day for reaching for a guy projected to go in the 20's. Well looks like I got the last laugh on that one ya jackasses. Lol.
Hopefully I can get the raps pick in on time again this year and nail it once again....
