Is it too early to be concerned about our pitching going into this series? The last three starters had sub-par performances. Hopefully Dickey can log some innings for us.

If we sweep this series I might start believing we can make the playoffs.

I lived in KC for a long time and became pretty familiar with this Royals team as a result. Please win.

Hoping for three out of four. Expecting four out of four (we're never losing again).

“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

trap series for a split, which would suck especially against the royals, but we're due to run into some terrible luck (or run out of luck) soon and the streak's gonna end sometime

3 outta 4 please

Gose and Reyes are our Devo and Rickey to go along with Melky, Joey, Eddy, Lind, Lawrie, Dioner, and Fat Juan being our Alomar, Molitor, Carter, Olerud, Tony, Borders, and Sprague.

Meaning... This team's offence has gone from scary to redoncididdlyous. Possibly best in team history level.

They'll be even better offensively when Colby is back.

The first two are going to be the toughest to win. I would be ecstatic with 3 of 4.

But since we've come this far the last week and a bit, we going for the sweeeep!

KC has two regulars with a SLG over .400. Obviously a trap series and you've gotta lose games, but... the way we've played, the way they've played, this is a team to bury.

Of course they're basically at a make or break point for the whole franchise and its most recent decade-long rebuild. 4 games out of a WC spot this early with impending FA and do or die years on a couple young guys. If management was playing they'd be in the fight of their lives It remains to be seen how the players will respond, but they certainly haven't caught fire so far. They just got swept at home by the Astros, outscored at a total of 21-5 for the 3-gamer.

A shame Hendricks isn't going for one of these games. I'm not sure if the Royals could even take him to the warning track.

Or they trade Colby for a SP because, not even saying it because of Gose, the need for a SP is much greater need than a Colby.

Feeling like this offense is starting to wind down a bit. Not that we can't eek out a couple more wins, but I think the steamrolling of opponents is behind us. At least until a Bautista or Lind or somebody really heats up again.

sure it is, but again - it's gotta be a complex 3 way deal, because no team with playoff aspirations in need of an upgrade in CF is gonna deal us a legit SP (and by legit i mean an adequate 3/4 pitcher). and a team that's out of the race willing to give up a good starter would rather have controllable MLB-calibre-or-ready prospects/players than two months of colby rasmus

Good luck finding a good starting pitcher for a rental outfielder. Everyone really needs to put such a thing out of their minds, as Colby's not going anywhere this season (nor should he be).
