I really think that the reason Hammond wasn't fired is because he has deals on the table and a rebuild plan that Herb wouldn't approve but that make sense to L+E. Nothing that is going to bring back long term salary and worse case we are right back in the lotto next year and they clean house.

If they're interested in adding more wins, just take Embiid. If he's playing 20+ minutes a night next season he'll be adding more wins than anyone in this class.

Embiid won't visit another team until the Cavaliers are given a chance to determine if they will select Embiid with the top pick in the NBA draft on June 26.

Meanwhile, Embiid and Duke freshman Jabari Parker are represented by the same agency (Wasserman Group) and the source said the agency is planning visits based on Embiid and Parker going 1-2 in some order over Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins.

Cleveland is still considering all three for the No. 1 pick.

That means Parker would visit with No. 2 Milwaukee at some point, and if Cleveland wanted to pass on Embiid then it would open up a Parker interview with the Cavs for the No. 1 spot.

Not if you like all of the top prospects. Then all the BS doesn't matter at all since it would be extremely difficult for the Bucks to muck it up. I'd be far more concerned if there was a chance the Bucks were gonna end up with a bad pick. I don't see that happening this year no matter how it shakes out.

I could be way off on Embiid (or any of these guys, really), but in him I see the one legit franchise changing prospect. I like Wiggins' two way potential, Parker ability on offense and the idea of him as a stretch four, and Exum's exciting and probably adds the most of what we need, which is competent point guard play. But Embiid looks like true force with the potential to be a top five impact player down the line.

I'll be happy to add any of these guys, but it would sting a bit to suffer the worst season in franchise history, have a shot at a true franchise guy, and then miss out on him by one pick. All this month I'm going to be sitting here hoping Cleveland **** this up for themselves.

If you really like Embiid a lot I can see how this would be frustrating. For me, I like two guys more and a third equally. I've hated so many lottery trips in recent years for the Bucks I'm enjoying the near certainty no matter who they end up taking I'm gonna be happy with.

What level vet do you think it'd take?

Kevin Love is the obvious name. The likelihood of it happening is probably pretty small.

I'd trade the No. 1 pick for Love. Wouldn't think twice.

Crappy?! Have you seen the level of competition he's playing against compared to these college kids in America?!

That's been said about a lot of drafts. Unfortunately, it never shakes out that way.

True but I can't remember the last time the Bucks were in a spot where they were virtually guaranteed of getting one of four high-quality prospects. It's gonna take some serious work on their part to screw this up.

No way would i unless Love agreed to an extension, which he likely wouldn't until he first saw how the season played out. Trading the first overall pick for Love and then him walking after the season would be an epic disaster for Cleveland, especially if Embiid became a stud player or whoever they would have picked instead. Not only that, a scenario like that could then also lead to Irving bolting instead of signing an extension.

Everyone knew Embiid would go #1, it's just been trying to find any excuse to believe otherwise. Cleveland already fired their village idiot.

Correct me if I'm wrong here... so this means that if Embiid agrees to workout for anyone else, that Cleveland is not taking him #1.
