Baddy Chuck's development comparison of Wall to Wiggins was spot on, IMO, and was the finishing selling point on Wiggins for me.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread pt. II - New Poll
1. Embiid - He's just too good a prospect to not take #1 IMO.
----------------------------
2. Wiggins - Just love his potential. I think he'll be able to score 15 a game as a rookie while being a solid defender, and I still have faith in him that he can eventually take his offensive capabilities to slightly above where Paul George is right now.
3. Exum - Again, love the potential there. Elite first step, quickness, and speed already. Great finishing ability. I don't really care if he's a pure point or not because we have Giannis. PG or SG, I think he's going to be among the best at his position in the league when he's done developing.
---------------------------
4. Jabari - He's tier below Wiggins and Exum for me. I think he'll be a poor defender his whole career, and I think he's a little overrated in terms of scoring. He is not on Syracuse Carmelo's level as a scorer. He just isn't. And he'll probably never get to Carmelo's level in the NBA either. He's not really much of a passer either. Having said that, I understand if management goes with him. He's a great fit next to Giannis and Larry, he should be a solid player from Day 1, and it will excite the casual fan.
Regardless, I'm going to be happy no matter which of these 4 we end up with. I'm more confident in the top 3 going forward than I am with Jabari, but he's a very good prospect in his own right.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread pt. II - New Poll
1. Embiid: If his back is 100%, I can see him becoming one of the best centers in the NBA within 3 years. He's the only guy in this draft that I feel confident about his capacity to become a superstar long-term.
2A. Wiggins
2B. Parker
2C. Exum
It's extremely close for me between these three. Of the three, I feel most confident that Parker will become a really good player - a dynamic, Carmelo-esque scorer in the league. I love Exum's game from what I've seen, but he's quite a mystery for me.
Wiggins is slightly ahead because I feel confident that his defense will transition very well, and he's clearly the most athletic guy out there. While I question his ability to score consistently, and have not seen him take over a game yet, I strongly feel that his ceiling is the highest of anyone in the draft (including Embiid), and I'm willing to take that risk.

Who would seriously take Randle or Vonleh at 2?

Yeah. I would take Smart over both of those guys anyway.

Does anyone remember what Jay's opinion of Giannis was around this time last year-draft day?
From what I saw, looking into the draft thread the day of the draft, he seemed to avoid making any commentary. I could have missed something.

Embiid - win for Bucks
Wiggins - win for Bucks
Exum - Hopefully we have traded for #3 & #10 or #4 & #12
Parker - Failure for Bucks - 7 out of 9 first picks were forwards and still trying to figure out who they want
He doesn't even fill a need. Biggest chance for Failure. Doesn't move the needle.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread pt. II - New Poll
I think a better poll would have been who do you "think" the Bucks will take at pick #2. We already know who everyone prefers.
When all is said and done, I think many here would be shocked to hear that Parker and Embiid were far and away the consensus top picks amongst NBA GMs. I'm actually afraid that Jabari is going to go #1. I'd easily take Embiid #2 with all associated medical risks. Smart would be my third pick. Wiggins fourth.

Not sure, but I'll definitely give anyone and everyone a mulligan for last year based on my guy's results so far.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread pt. II - New Poll
I thought Giannis was the consensus pick on this board, but I have a terrible memory with that sort of stuff. I just know he was easily the guy I wanted at 15 and I was absolutely ecstatic on draft night.

We just want to set straight that the majority of the people in the know on this board are voting for Wiggins with pick #2. The poll does that.

I was pretty happy about drafting Giannis. He wasn't Shane Larkin. Other guys I liked were Shabazz Muhammed and Sergei Karasev.

I voted Parker. I'm pretty much with Kirby, except I have Exum before Wiggins.
