He's not a stretch 4 of course but I think Hill should start at PF if the Lakers don't draft Randle or Vonleh. Gotta have solid defense out there.

I would also consider starting Hill at center if pau leaves. Lakers will have a small frontcourt but hill plays larger than his size anyway.

20 minutes isn't too out of whack.

My suggestion is to pursue Gortat heavily. Seems like a nice balanced player to have there.

No way I go after Gortat when next summer's free agent bigs include Love, Aldridge, M. Gasol, Asik, Jordan, Hibbert, Vucevic.. If you're going to spend 10M+ on a big, it should be 1 of those guys.

I think our best course of action this season is to use our cap space to absorb a bad contract & get another pick as compensation. Boozer & Chicago's #16 pick for example.. After that just sign guys that we might be able to lock in for cheap (Young or Bradley + Hill), maybe make a slightly inflated 1 year offer to Kaman to be a stopgap at C. Fill out the rest of the roster with 1 year contracts & have enough space to add 2 impact players next summer.

Smart/Farmar/Marshall
Kobe/Bazemore
Wes/Young/X
Boozer/Kelly/#16 pick
Hill/Kaman/Sacre

Unless by some miracle Smart & our 16th pick come in the league as allstars, it'll be an uphill battle just to make the playoffs.. But we'll have a solid nucleus in place.

Next summer Nash/Boozer/1 year contracts come off the books.. We sign 2 of (Lebron?), Rondo, Love, Aldridge, M. Gasol, Hibbert, Asik, Jordan, Vucevic, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard. Now we're ready to contend.

didn't DENG reject chicago's 3/30 mil offer?

Not sure if i want him for more than 10mil a year.

Yeah I think he did reject the offer, and I think even 10 mil per year is a lot for Deng. 6-8 mil sounds more feasible.

He'll definitely get over 10.. But his stint with the Cavs did hurt his value enough to somewhere in the ballpark of 3/30 might get him.

Dents value is down significantly... He also has a bad Achilles... I like the idea of getting another pick but Boozers contract seems expensive... Will be an interesting offseason...

I can see it happening, but I don't think it would be wise for the Lakers to give him that much but that's just me.
