Garry Harris stock seems to have taken a decent hit. I agree hes in the mix at 13.

assuming we did the Celtics trade. (6). Vonleh/Randle and (13). Harris/Lavine/Stauskus could be a good haul

Boston also has the 17th pick this year. We should also be getting that in a Love trade.

Speaking of bloodlines and two-way players, here's someone I'm targeting in the 2nd:

It might be worth it to take a long look at Zach LaVine for the same reason.

Edit:

I haven't heard much about his work ethic, but from what i've heard is that he shies from contact and doesn't put too much effort on the defensive end. Heard any positive things is this area?

^ Antetokounmpo - His draft combine interview is truly outstanding and really makes you want the guy and just to root for him. Incredibly humble and hardworking, I'd love it if we could get him in the 2nd round. He or Ingglis would be nice to pick up in the 2nd.

I'm really hoping if we get the 17th pick of Boston we take a good long look at Kristaps Porzingis. I've watched Sevilla several times this season because Tomas Satoransky is my favourite euro player. The kid is only 18 but plays significant minutes for them and I think has a huge future. He's a 7 foot power forward, exremely long and a very good athlete can run like a deer and block shots. He's a perimeter/stretch 4 who needs to work on his shot but his form is good and he can handle well for a guy his size. He's too slight to make an impact at the moment but give him a few years and 20-25 pounds and I think he could be something like a 7 foot AK47.

I know it's not fair, but McCants spoiled the well for UNC gunners with bad body language for me.

The two way player comment makes me hopeful Elfrid Payton is in the mix at #13. I know outside shooting's a need, in his case I'd like to take a gamble on upside.

More likely it means Gary Harris is high on the wish list, which isn't the worst thing in the world at all, I just don't see much of a chance for him to turn out better than good.

A post-Love roster projects to have so many greater needs that it's hard for me to use the pick on backing up our soon to be best player. If the Wolves get a few more #1's, be it a Bulls trade, or a Celt's trade, and we can stack the roster with our picks, then Payton moves higher up my board.

Well hopefully as a post-Love roster, we got all dem picks from Boston and can focus on taking the best players available!

I haven't heard anything about his work ethic either. I guess I was looking at it more in terms of taking a chance on him because he's a freak athlete.

Ive read from a Kyle Anderson article that he said Zach was one of the hardest working guys in the team. He was always in the Gym.

He also said once Lavine gains some weight and learns the physical part of the game he will be "unguardable".

Not sure how much stock you would wanna put into that.

Lavine also put a lot of emphasis in his combine interview in him being a gym rat and always being in the gym. His agent must know thats going to have to be one of his biggest selling points when it comes to a team drafting him.

Lavines best bet for success is being a Jamal Crawford type guy.

I like this guy, his shots pretty good and that little dirk fadeaway is something that should be viable for him in the NBA. I get the Wally Szczerbiak comparison and I don't really think that's a bad thing. Like most of these guys defense is lacking though they don't go over it in this video.

Everyone's getting down on the defense of these shooting guard prospects, but how many truly good defensive starting 2 guards are there in the league now? I can count them on 1 hand.

Green, Butler, Stephenson, Bradley, Shumpert, Dragic/Bledose, Beal, Matthews, Derozan, Sefalosha, Joe Johnson, Henderson, Oladipo, Thompson, Allen, Reddick

There's a lot.

Expectation:

6: Gordon
13: Stauskas

Reality:

6: Vonleh
13: Young

:(

Can Olynyk play PF by the way? If he's strictly a center, I might rather want Sullinger, even though Olynyk is more talented. I really love the Pekovic/Dieng tandem at the center position. Pairing them with Gordon/Sullinger makes a lot of sense.

Olynyk will be a liability on defense whether you play him as a 4 or 5. Same with Sullinger.

Sullinger was a better defender than you'd think last year.

I like Smart, but I also really like Payton at #17, so I'd still rather have Gordon at #6. Saric won't last until #13 I'm afraid. He's going to #10 or #12 unless Lakers take a stab at him. Payne does seem like a great pick at #17 or even #13, so if we do take Smart at #6 I'd be totally for drafting him.

My NBA 2K team:

Rubio/Vasquez(FA)
Stephenson(FA)/Stauskas
Brewer/Muhammad/(Inglis)
Gordon/Sullinger
Pekovic/Dieng

I love it so much. All my favorite players in there.
