As I said in yesterday's thread just now, I think Gennett has nudes of Ron. Should not be playing this much when Rickie has been playing so well. Why not just go with the lineup that destroyed the Cubs yesterday?

I kind of wish we just used the same lineup as yesterday. Not sure what the rush is to get Gennett and Overbay in there.

Weeks does have a vesting option for next year based on plate appearances.

If Weeks makes 600 plates appearances in 2014, or 1,200 plate appearances his final two years, the 2015 year will automatically vest for $11.5 million.

That's about the only reason I can think of why he's riding the bench so much.

Hes at what, 50ish right now? What are the odds he can get 550 more in a little over 100 games?
