I'm telling you man, avoiding that cesspool is in your best interest. It's pretty much a massive homer/hater/illiterate idiot sesh. It's not the place for a proper discussion. You will get irritated.

Thank you very much sir.

Who was it? Sherk?

You'll probably get banned, man but w/e. The GB is pretty horrible, and I'm not gonna lie, the racial conversations that came out of the Sterling incidents were really nauseating. Getting banned there is a blessing in disguise. Someone on the Cs board described it as a cesspool once. Very apt description.

Nah it was Rasho. I might be exaggerating a bit, but it was still surprising to see...especially since I've kinda had respect for him over the years.

Let it go. He must be having a bad day (mods are human too), or maybe he simply misunderstood one of your posts.

I really don't look at it as matching up against 3's and much more is how does the Love/Carmelo combo try to contain Lebron.

I don't think it does a good enough job even with an Asik at center. Let's say Carmelo guards Lebron on defense. And Lebron shot really well(TS% of over 60%) against Carmelo in the playoffs in 2010-11 with Chandler backing him up a the Knicks center. Asik is on Bosh behind the 3 point arc. And Love is on some 3 point shooter.

I just don't see it working at all.

It is easer said then but I think you probably need to surround Love with 4 defenders with 3 of them being good to very good on offense in terms of shooting/scoring. And the team needs a couple of playmakers.

The center has to have the offensive game to prevent Miami from going to crazy with small ball or at least punish them for doing so.

Lebron is arguably the GOAT player I believe driving to the hoop for the score or pass. In that situation, he is like a computer that pretty much makes the right decision nearly every time and can finish with either hand and even get a lot of 3 point plays. That corner 3 by Bosh gave Miami around a 40%+ chance to win the game which is much better then his odds of shooting over 2 defenders to just go to OT.

Celtics need to ask themselves, how does this defense deal with Chris Bosh stretching the floor and Lebron/Wade driving to the basket.

Not easy to deal with with 2 average defenders at SF/PF.

Hearing from 3/3 sources Kevin love is here for basketball reasons. In the past 14 days the Boston Celtics are now emerging as the #1 candidate for landing Kevin love. Love and his agents are actively involved in trade talks, which prompted this trip after determining that Boston was the #1 option as of this past 14 days.

All for now

My thoughts exactly.

Yeah, I will. I wasn't exactly a saint myself, but his response was surprising nonetheless.

Should we bring out our cocks yet, or are we forever going to hide them after the last time? :(

Good post.

The rough sketch of the potential trade must be taking form.

Is it happening? Could be.

But this dude isn't out in the public eye for no reason.

Stop playing games. Are you serious. ? Are you an insider btw ?

I'm not in insider but I have good contacts in Boston. I have been told that Love is having dinner tonight with members of the Cs. I was even told the place. Boston is a small city so if you have any pull around the city you can get the info if you know the right people.

If Love is meeting with anyone from the Celtics other than players, wouldn't the Celtics need permission from the Timberwolves? If any executives are there, this is likely a sign that the trade talks are at an advanced stage. I'm getting excited about the possibility.

IF and I mean IF we got this done, let Miami and the rest of the NBA be worried of how they match up with us. In Miami's case we would out rebound them by a mile, have the massive advantage at the PG position and one of 3 players in the NBA capable of going head to head against LeBron in a 7 game series and actually outplaying the King a game or two.

According to the GB, Love's just in town to walk the Freedom Trail and go on the duckboats.

I'd say it is just players at this point if anyone. Just a assumption, but a safe one I'm sure.

"If Cousins is in LA does that mean he is going to the Lakers?"

Yes, because this is the exact same situation.

The Celtics have been a well noted suitor for Love, who is likely to get traded, and arguably have the best package to offer. It'd be a hell of a coincidence if he was just having a fun weekend in Boston, with multiple sources reporting it.

Not to mention everybody goes to LA. Rondo, Pierce and KG used to roll out in LA all the time. Who the hell hits up Boston? I've never ever heard of an NBA player coming to Boston during my 10+ years of being a Celtics fan. Even Celtics player leave town when it's vacation time.

A trade this big I'd imagine the marketing/whoever people with the C's would be angling for it getting leaked/going public at a more ideal time than late Friday and into Saturday afternoon. Obviously this is pipedreaming/wild speculation, but maybe they're sitting on it until Sunday night/Monday morning so they hit the news cycle at a more ideal time?

Also, if we are trading our 2014 and 2015 picks, this would have to be a draft night deal. Ideally, you'd have everything agreed to before and then just finalize it on draft night.
