Yes, because this is the exact same situation.

The Celtics have been a well noted suitor for Love, who is likely to get traded, and arguably have the best package to offer. It'd be a hell of a coincidence if he was just having a fun weekend in Boston, with multiple sources reporting it.

Not to mention everybody goes to LA. Rondo, Pierce and KG used to roll out in LA all the time. Who the hell hits up Boston? I've never ever heard of an NBA player coming to Boston during my 10+ years of being a Celtics fan. Even Celtics player leave town when it's vacation time.

Depressing, but true.

greenbeans wrote:A trade this big I'd imagine the marketing/whoever people with the C's would be angling for it getting leaked/going public at a more ideal time than late Friday and into Saturday afternoon. Obviously this is pipedreaming/wild speculation, but maybe they're sitting on it until Sunday night/Monday morning so they hit the news cycle at a more ideal time?

Unless Minnesota absolutely loves 3 or 4 players who will be available at 6, I can't see a deal happening until draft night.

I'd love for you to be right. If this visit was actually just a way for him to see if he wants to opt in for one more year or not, I'd be pumped. Who knows.

Love trade will not happen prior to the draft.

Regarding this post from LBF...

As you can see I'm not here for too long, so I am interested if someone can tell me how trustworthy is this? I mean, is he a guy who guessed some information before, or what?

Thank you.

Man draft night is going to be insane. At this point I'm going to hate whoever it is that we draft with the 6th pick if we do decide to keep it. I'm so on this Love bandwagon right now it's not even funny.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

I´ve been saying this for the last months: Love will be a Celtic in the next weeks. It was clear he was the target for Ainge.

Is it at all possible that Ainge is getting Love with the idea of trading away Rondo and maybe others and reshaping the future Celtics team slowly around Love? I don't think Ainge thinks this team has the parts to reshape itself quickly into a contender.

Yeah, but, did he guess something before or it stops at having friends?

Let's just leave all that alone and say thanks for the tip.

It really only matters if it happens anyways.

Has Sullinger been spotted in downtown Minneapolis yet? That's the question.

Let's just say that if you hear something from a non reliable source on this board there will be plenty of people here calling it out.

When approached by the @BostonGlobe at a Boston hotel, Kevin Love said: "I'm sorry man, I can't do nothing (in terms of talking), I can't."

Even though it's plausible I just can't see this happening. If I was Love I would say no to the Celtics trading away Rondo. What's the point in building around Love when it's going to take at least 2-3 years to put a decent team around him. It's easier for him to sign with the Lakers and wait until his budy Westbrook decides to join up.

Love doesn't have time and he wants to compete. He'll turn 26 at the start of the season, time is ticking.
