Would you guys do #3 and #10 for Demarcus Cousins? I would in a heartbeat, I don't care who is available at #3. Cousins/Noel would be so dynamic.
Edit: Looking at past star big man trades and #3 and #10 is too much. #3 and #32 is fair value. But Kings probably wouldn't do that.

Prepare for the storm that is coming your way for suggesting this.
I say no, mainly because if the front office would have listened to me the first time, we would have Cousins right now. That, and I don't think Cousins will want to stay here long term. He wants to win in the near future. That might cause issues.
I'm still wondering why he resigned with the Kings. You can call Cousins a number of things, but he's pretty loyal once he finds a home.
EDIT: But I do think the compensation is equal to obtain him, FWIW.

I'll defend Cousins more than anyone, but even I wouldn't pair him with Stephenson.

That would be like re-creating the Broad Street Bullies on the basketball court.
I'm was a huge Cousins critic over the years, but he plays at such a high level that even I am willing to turn the other cheek in regards to some of his immaturity issues.
If Embiid and Parker are off the board, I'd absolutely choose trading for Cousins over drafting Wiggins or Exum.

Why not just trade #3 and #10 for #1, and take Embiid instead?

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Cousins fits better with Noel and is already a top 3 center at age 23. Cousins doesn't have major injury concerns. And I love Cousins' attitude

In no way do I want to put the future of my franchise in Demarcus Cousins' hands.

I would definitely do 3 and 10 for Embiid if he's healthy. If the scouts are correct he will be better than Bynum and Dwight Howard. Do you remember what we gave up for Bynum? I looked at the Duncan's draft and #3 and 10 were Chauncey Billups and Danny Fortson...My point is, if you think a player will be a great player you trade for them at risk of giving up 2 very good or good players

Always amazed at the amnesia some folks had...lest we forget the Iverson era?? It's great to have all the talent in the world, but if you have a bottom of the barrel head it isn't pretty...

It's really a no brainier. But amazingly many people think Wiggins and Parker are Embiid's equal, so it wouldn't be a popular move.
Honestly, I think Cleveland would be making a mistake by accepting the offer.

Cousins is literally the PERFECT player to play alongside Noel. He allows Noel to play the PF spot defensively and the C position offensively.

I'm 100% certain Cousins with his insane college Freshman PER of like 35.0 would have been #1 on Hinkie's board that year(even over Wall)

Yup.
- 37.3 PER
- length, bulk, ridiculous skill level
- 9.9 DIP%
If it wasn't for his character red flags and weight concerns,he's be among the biggest locks of all-time when he came out.
Anthony Davis was pretty damn certain as well.

The interesting part was how gung-ho everyone on here was for Evan Turner.
Considering Cousins over Turner was a joke. Many were saying Turner over Wall if we had the first overall pick (which I thought was simply insane).
I'll admit, I didn't hate Turner, but I knew there were 2 prospects that were better than him: Cousins and Wall. To an extent, I also liked Favors more than him.
