Thank you. Nothing new, but still more optimism coming. :)

Rondo cannot contain himself. He's definitely as excited as us and I am sure he has been receiving information from Ainge.

One at a time Rondo, let's deal with Carmelo later.

It's amazing the hate a team gets when they have a chance to get a great player. It happen when Heat Big 3 joined forces , it happen when Howard joined the Lakers and then Houston. The GB always gets mad when a star it's not traded to they're teams always hating on the big trades because of jealousy.

DK-All Day wrote:The guys on PTI are pathetic.

"Why would Love want to go to one lottery team to another"
"The Celtics have zero assets"
"Unless Rondo is going to Minny, Love will not be a Celtic"

I swear, the guys ESPN hire make me chuckle.

I heard this on ESPN radio a hour or two ago also. It's kinda amazing how out of touch some people are. It also amazes me how little people know about what makes a successful NBA team. Not that I am all knowing or anything, but I don't understand the logic some people use at ESPN or other national outlets when critiquing certain teams and evaluating a team's talent level or trading ability.

Around the Horn was much better, though. They actually had a good conversation about it. Luckily Jackie was there to chime in about the Cs' assets, though, which makes a huge difference I guess.

I have no idea why the people on PTI would say we have no assets and then in the same statement say "why would he go from one lottery team to another"...it's like they didn't realize they answered their own question immediately before/after. The C's are a lottery team...hence a high lottery pick. So silly. I'm not even going to address why simply stating "going from lottery team to lottery team" is flawed logic. It honestly shows how much those dudes know about basic roster building.

I know every time I talk about the GB and the national media, it makes it seem like I'm new to this weird disrespect, but I'm honestly not. I just can't get over how silly the media can be. They never learn their lessons. They are wrong so much (about almost every team), but they never learn from it.

They're getting excited

On Arbella Early Edition, Kirk Minihane showed confidence that the Celtics can complete a deal for Love.

"I think it's going to happen." said Minihane. "Whatever it takes, Ainge is going to make this happen, Kevin Love is coming to Boston."

"It's going to happen" Minihane interrupts Tanguay. "Stop talking. It's going to happen."

If this doesn't happen i'm gonna be so pissed. I'm not saying anything until it's done though, there's still a high likelihood this falls through/never happens.

This GB thread is doing wonders for my self-confidence. My outlook for the future has taken a hit, but at this point.. whatever.

Saw a poster post this article on the Celticsblog and found it interesting. Although they're doubting the veracity of it.

The source, an insider at RealGM.com, said, “The Love deal is pretty much done. I think the fact that Kevin Love is so out and about in Boston is something that Danny wants out there so he can show someone like Melo that he means business. The Melo thing is the one that is on the hush. Melo is the primary target. They need a scorer from the wing position. Cs need to get Love first in order to work one (with) Melo. That’s why Kevin Love is in town, he knows he is headed to Boston. Love is a done deal, the focus now is Melo. He was the primary target. Love opting in on his final year allows the Cs to sign Melo to a long-term deal first. Then work on a team-friendly deal with Rondo and then take care of Kevin. Also, could Tyson Chandler be dealt to Boston?”

The same source revealed that the Boston trip is, in fact, something that was planned with Rondo. “Hearing Rondo and Love talked 11 days ago regarding this trip, on the phone, and that Rondo and him have maintained regular correspondence for the past 27 days,” the source said.

Can DDB or LBF verify if this is true or not please.

Thanks for the info. I thought he was quoting LBF because I remember seeing a similar quote like that. Anyways they can doubt our insiders all they want, as long as we get Melo and Love, that's all that matters to me.

Huh? Who said anything about what Love describes as what he wants?

Love is going to end up on a team he wants to go to...and going by what he says..it's not the Kings.

He may or he may not. Are you Flip Saunders? Are you Love's agent? :nonono:

We are all speculating here as that's all we can do. IF things do not go amicably between Wolves and Love on this matter, Wolves may just decide to screw him up and trade him to a team he does not want to be in. SPECULATION.

and he is going to refuse to re-sign with that team. Advantage Love. The only team love might prefer other than Boston are Lakers, Golden state Warriors and Chicago. I'm not too sold on him liking Houston.

The author of that article and his buddy that referenced him to all of LBF's posts.

Gotta keep that isht in-house the best we can or risk scaring off LBF and/or his sources.

The less attention, the better.

To be honest, referencing a post in a basketball team forum is extremely lazy, unprofessional, and generally poor when writing an actual article. And that has nothing to do with the legitness of posters here.
