Who are these people ?

The author of that article and his buddy that referenced him to all of LBF's posts.

Gotta keep that isht in-house the best we can or risk scaring off LBF and/or his sources.

The less attention, the better.

I noticed he was the author of the article when Max mentioned his name and proceeded to call him out. Lol. It's hard to keep things in house this days especially since social media sites like Twitter are Around. Do you think that Westbrook would fit play style along side Melo and Love or is Rondo the better fit ? .

He may or he may not. Are you Flip Saunders? Are you Love's agent? :nonono:

We are all speculating here as that's all we can do. IF things do not go amicably between Wolves and Love on this matter, Wolves may just decide to screw him up and trade him to a team he does not want to be in. SPECULATION.

and he is going to refuse to re-sign with that team. Advantage Love. The only team love might prefer other than Boston are Lakers, Golden state Warriors and Chicago. I'm not too sold on him liking Houston.

He may or he may not. The Kings are supposedly interested in seeing Love paired with Cousins and they are willing to make that happen even if Love walks. I won't agree that "he is going to refuse" to re-sign with the Kings. IF he plays there and they end up winning and contending, who knows?

I'm with you on that. I was shocked when he did that. I had to double check to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.

The source, an insider at RealGM.com, said, “The Love deal is pretty much done. I think the fact that Kevin Love is so out and about in Boston is something that Danny wants out there so he can show someone like Melo that he means business. The Melo thing is the one that is on the hush. Melo is the primary target. They need a scorer from the wing position. Cs need to get Love first in order to work one (with) Melo. That’s why Kevin Love is in town, he knows he is headed to Boston. Love is a done deal, the focus now is Melo. He was the primary target. Love opting in on his final year allows the Cs to sign Melo to a long-term deal first. Then work on a team-friendly deal with Rondo and then take care of Kevin. Also, could Tyson Chandler be dealt to Boston?”

The same source revealed that the Boston trip is, in fact, something that was planned with Rondo. “Hearing Rondo and Love talked 11 days ago regarding this trip, on the phone, and that Rondo and him have maintained regular correspondence for the past 27 days,” the source said.

Can DDB or LBF verify if this is true or not please.

For what it's worth.

Publicly, the Timberwolves are saying they expect Love to be in training camp with the team next fall. But behind the scenes, as one source put it, the Timberwolves are, “paving the way to make something happen sooner rather than later.” Sooner, of course, would be draft night.
The Timberwolves have put out feelers on what possible offers might be on the table for Love on draft night. Despite their public protestations, around the league, front office executives say that the market for Love is open, but the initial asking price is high. While the Timberwolves would expect lottery draft choices in return for Love—including a high pick in this draft—they also want a young player with star potential, according to a source.

“Sources close to the situation tell me that Love if it’s a choice between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, would chose the Warriors.”
Love and Stephen Curry would instantly make the most dangerous pick-and-pop combo in the league.

But are the Warriors willing to go all in with some quality players?

Interesting but the warriors or rockets don't have a high draft pick do they? As for the Warriors: One would have to assume Lee would be involved but do the Wolves want Lee and his 30m contract?

I'm not really worried about either teams. The only road for the Twolves moving forward without Love is to rebuild, and the best way they can do that is by having a high draft pick. Having Lee and/or Thompson from the warriors would just make them a treadmill team.

I'd be worried if I see rumors that the Cleveland is willing to give their first pick up.

Yup. I am not sure it would make much sense for the Cavs to do that because from their prospective it comes down to Love for one season (we know he will leave because Cavs cannot hold on to players) or have Embiid/ Wiggins/Parker locked in for six seasons.

Except I don't recall you saying that the Love trade was a done deal and Melo and Chandler deals are right around the corner. People get a little information and just run with it.

Hearing from 3/3 sources Kevin love is here for basketball reasons. In the past 14 days the Boston Celtics are now emerging as the #1 candidate for landing Kevin love. Love and his agents are actively involved in trade talks, which prompted this trip after determining that Boston was the #1 option as of this past 14 days.

All for now

the players and front office can't say anything about it. but it's damn obvious that he was here for basketball reasons. Ainge has something up his sleeve and it goes beyond Kevin Love. That's just a big step to his master plan IMO

You're right DDB, there are a lot of other cards in this deck to play. Even projecting out 2 years from now adding complementary players to help the core is being weighed in. Amazing GM'ing going on right now from our brass.

I don't like to get into the insider stuff because these things change hourly. So I'm not going to be one who come on here and say my sources said this and that. What I will do is lay out the ground work of what could happen, just based off the little information I had access too.

Now just reading the tea-leaves here, there is no question that Melo and Rondo have talk about being team-mates. Even during the season Melo said it would be fun to have someone like Rondo to come join me here in New York. Rondo said the same thing about Melo coming to Boston.

If you look at it, if Boston get Kevin Love (which to me it looks like a done deal) then Boston becomes a really good option for Melo. I think Boston becomes a better place for Melo then Chicago and New York.

I love Thibs but he burns his guys out, many people think Thibs is the cause for Derrick Rose injuries because he rely so much on Rose and they never gotten him any help. Now what if Rose never comes back to being Rose and Melo went to Chicago. You don't think Melo will get burn out by Thibs? So I count Chicago out on that factor alone. Not to mention Rose and Melo being the next verison for Westbrook and Durant. It just not a prefect match.

However with Rondo and Kevin Love in the fold, Boston is a better option. Now it just a matter of creating cap space. Also if not Melo don't count out Kevin Durant in a couple of years but my guess is DA would try to make a push for a Love/Melo type package this off-season.

At worst the Cs don't get Love/Melo this off-season. They can wait it out and get Love during the summer of 2015 without given up assets and the assets we have now like Sully, Kelly O and the two draft picks we have now. Will all become better assets next off-season.

You see these are the type of talks that are going on in the GM office on a daily bases.

As a wolves fan, I would like to hear some opinions on Sully and Olynyk, as I don't think I had a chance to catch Boston at all last season.

Return to Boston Celtics
