Gary Tanguay fancies himself as a Hollywood Screenwriter...I think he's done research on what it takes to be famous--and he's going the route of Jim Rome type a-holes...that is: Shock Value Sells. I've seen this slow transformation in him the past few years...He's trying to make a name for himself, to set up a bigger payday.

His "opinions" on Celtics things lately have been annoying as hell.

And since that transition he's brought absolutely nothing tangible to the table--it would be one thing if he fundamentally knew the game of basketball, but he doesn't. He's Mr. High Level. He'll only talk basketball at a high level because he knows that if he drills down on any particular subject he's going to expose himself.

Do you think we have enough cache on this board to start a Fire Gary Tanguay movement? The best consolation prize for not winning the NBA championship would be to see his arrogant, hipster wanna be ass humbled.

Not because some people disagree people with his opinions, doesn't mean we should try to get him fired. He still has a right to his opinion even if we disagree with it

Did you guys catch Tanguay's "THAT WAS BUSH LEAGUE!!!!!" rant after KG gave that bitch Judas the cold shoulder? It was seriously bizarre.. as in I was legitimately wondering if he popped a Xanny bar a half hour before the show along with his usual gin and tonic.

He was screaming at everyone, yelling "I DON'T CARE!!" over everyone's counter arguments.. not sure why that meltdown didn't make deadspin but the Minihane one did. Same ballpark.

Is there a video of this?

^I love when Tanguay and that whole crew say something like, "I just don't understand the NBA", "I dont get why the NBA is like ______" or "It's the NBA!" in reference to not understanding something culturally about the NBA.

For me, that just validates that I chose the right sport to follow.

I'm glad none of those Sports Tonight folks are big basketball fans. Let them enjoy Hockey/Football so they can live in their jock culture.

Just skimmed through the Bulls forum thread on Love and people are being pretty delusional. Idk if Love will end up here honestly but I know that if he does we do not become Minnesota 2.0 in any way. We're the Boston Celtics and we have Danny Ainge. I don't think you can compare the two franchises in any way. If Love comes here, we will obviously find and attract way more talent than Minny ever has.

The GS board completely dismisses the C's and any reports coming out of Boston about this Love thing. People are so out of the loop that I've seen people over there post yesterday that Boston has serious interest in Love. It was news to them.

That's why I like this forum. We've been talking about GS, Chicago, LA, and every other potential destination for weeks now. It's also rare for someone here to outright dismiss another location too unlike what you see on other team forums.

Their biggest Kevin Love thread is a thread dedicated to why we shouldn't get him. That's all you need to know honestly.

Celticsblog is almost the reason why I agree with Pitino when he said the negativity in this town sucks. If you have me agreeing with that guy, there's an issue.

Nothing compares to this board. Everything else out there is rubbish.

Just heard Maz on Felger and Maz say that even if the Celtics got Love and Melo, we would only be a 46 win team and get bounced in the first round.

I mean....idk what to even say.

Felger HATES basketball in general and has been bashing the celtics ever since he and Mazz went on the air. I don't think either of them watch the sport but that does not stop them from talking about it.

The bulls without Rose won 48 games. The raptors also won 48 games in an awful atlantic division. All of us will probably agree that Love and Melo on the same team in the weak ass east will net more than 46 wins.

If you can find it, when they were talking about Rondo wanting to wear sunglasses during a game against LA because his eye was all messed up, Tanguay suggested it was just because they were in LA and Rondo is a "fashionista." Tommy got really, really heated and yelled at him pretty good.

Just last week they were screaming for the Celtics to get Love no matter the cost. If they think both guys would net us only 46 wins, why the hell did they want Love by himself so much, lol. A defensive supporting cast would be so so so important if we got those two..
