Further - I think Rasmus along with some lower level prospects would work. No need to include Sanchez, Norris, Stroman or Hutch.
I believe in Masai.

Why would a rental OF be able to fetch a lot in trade? Why would the Cubs want Rasmus?

Does everyone forget how good Rasmus actually is? This Gose mirage is clouding people's judgement.

Rasmus is pretty damn good. Much better than Gose (whose mirage ended a week and a half ago). Doesn't mean he'd have any value to a non-contender that is trading pitching.

I'm not up on the rumor mill, but Rasmus is legit. Gose has speed and those infield singles make him look amazing. It can be a 3 way trade. I'm looking ahead to the draft on thursday and we'll see what happens with the free agents eg. Kendrys Morales afterwards. I can see some movement there for the Jays as well.

Agree. His value doesn't fetch us anything in the SP category. Unless they can somehow swindle a 2B out of someone Rasmus is going nowhere.

I'm sorry, the only thing Rasmus does is stretches our lineup - is it just me or has his defense deteriorated? It better be because of that hamstring.

His defense was great last year. Then he hurt his hamstring and played through it for 1.5 months this year.

Rasmus has no value to a team not in contention whatsoever. The only team that is interested in Rasmus is a contender that has a surplus of pitching to dangle in front of AA.
