Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
I know this opinion may not be popular for many on this board, but MKG is a better player than Lamb is. Lamb has talent, but there is a reason he doesn't play much for OKC. If we want to trade Hendo for him I'm all for it. But involving MKG in that deal would not be wise at all.

Is MKG worth more than Jeremy Lamb + 9 million/yr player(s) + 3 draft slots?
It's never going to happen but if OKC does a shakeup I think it won't involve their 3 key guys. I think if they make any roster changes in addition to coaching changes, then Jeremy Lamb is most likely to be dealt. Jeremy Lamb is taking a long time to groom and they can't safely trust him for big minutes in a playoff series. They really need a veteran SG so maybe Henderson or Neal interests them. I'd like to package Neal or Henderson with pick 24 to move up to 21.
Who wou;dn't want to come to a team shape up like this:
PG: Kemba, Zach Lavine, Luke Ridnour
SG: P.J. Hairston, Gary Neal, Jeremey Lamb
SF: Jeff Taylor, Chris Douglas Roberts Melvin Ejim
PF: Josh McRoberts, Cody Zeller, Clint Capela
C Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo, Brendan Haywood
Who would? That team is definitely worse than the current product.

How the team is def worst? Not one player on the team has the potential of being an all star Zach Lavine upsides has star espn highlight on him all day PJ showed he can hit 40 plus points in NBADL translate to NBA he's averaging 15plus points a game, with Kemba, Jeff Taylor needs MKG gone to show he's better maybe a nice Wilson Chandler type player. Cody Zeller game will flourish with this type of guards and shooters will become the Zeller we looking for this year, Never had a rim protector Clint Caples would be that opposite side to Al Jefferson (Anthony Davis type rim protector that hornets is needing) this team will be a whole lot better than last year.

Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
I've never seen a 2nd round draft pick spoken so highly of without actually doing anything noteworthy yet out of all my years of being a basketball fan than Jeffery Taylor. I honestly feel like if Taylor played for any other team in the NBA other than the Bobcats/Hornets that he'd be destined to be waived this offseason

Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
Al Jefferson and Kemba are both All-Star caliber, CDR averaged 20+ PPG in the D-League its not hard to do including a 49pt game , the last thing this team needs is MKG gone and JT replacing him, we do have a rim protector his name is Bismack

MKG sucks can't shoot, Bismack is a number 9 player off the bench Clint Caples can score, run the court and have a basketball IQ Bismack IQ is only for blocking an he's small 6'9 Clint is 6'11 jumping ability and block is 5 times better than Bismack... But having both on the team is great... Jeff Taylor got hurt, before he was hurt he was playing great... CDR isn't PJ Hairston... PJ will translate a whole lot better to a starter than CDR is a great role player maybe a potential top 6 man in the league

Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
Bismacks 7-6 wingspan and 9-3 standing reach are both above average (wingspan way above average), Caples wingspan is 7-3 and 9-2 standing reach....Biz is bigger (not to mention Biz also weights about 20 pounds more) and MKG doesn't suck he is an elite defender and JT cant shoot either and MKG got hurt also, before that he was shooting close to 40% from midrange

Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
The Cavs want to trade for an All-Star big and the names mentioned here are Aldridge, Noah, Love and Horford, the usual suspects.

But what about Al Jefferson?
After all, didn't signing him block us from drafting in the top 3 and getting our superstar to build around long term?
What would you package with Al Jefferson for the #1 pick?

I would have to consider something around taking back Varejo and Jack plus the #1 for Big Al. If they want to win now it could give them the piece they need. We could fill our need for SG and a Big with the 1 and 9. We would have a good defensive center and a backup PG with some size.
I don't know at this point if I would want to do it but if they called me up and offered I would definitely consider it. It would be a different approach to branding the Hornets. Add two good names this year in the draft and spend our FA money smart and we could be just as good. If we got out and ran this team could finish close to where we were last season.

I wish. Draft Embiid first overall then package 9,24,and whomever for a real solid veteran.

So you guys think Al Jefferson has #1 overall pick trade value? Interesting change from last year's sentiment to say the least...

That's interesting.
Who would you select #1 overall? What's your roster? Would you sign Monroe to play C in place of Al?

Kemba/Waiters
Wiggins/Waiters/Henderson
MKG/Henderson
McRoberts/Zeller/Rocky
Monroe/Biyombo
Would be a good start.
I wouldn't pay more than 10-12m per for Monroe though.

Hornets get: #1 and Dion Waiters
Cavs get: Al Jefferson, #24, and #45. They can even have Zeller if they want so he can come off the bench as dual PF/C with his big brother
Use #1 on Jabari Parker to play small ball PF
Use #9 on James Young or Zach Lavine for upside
Bring Waiters off the bench as a combo guard
Re-sign McBob and CDR
Sign Spencer Hawes to backup Biz
Sign Jeff "Rocky" Adrien again
Kemba/Waiters
Hendo/Young or Lavine
MKG/CDR
Parker/McBob/Adrien
Biz/Hawes/Adrien
Then Cho would have his OKC model

Yeah, doubt Cleveland would do that.
