Dude was a straight beast at Gonzaga. If he was taken by the right team, he could have been great imo.

He would've been good in the right system like the Spurs or in Memphis where his defensive liabilities would've been hidden. It didn't help that he suffered some injuries which shattered his confidence.

That's what I mean, I feel like if some one gave him the right shot in the right system he could have been good. His athleticism wasn't that bad. And even it was he could have got by with his shooting. His shot was better than Curry's coming out of college.

Poor Adam. Not good enough to play in the NBA, but far too good to waste away in Europe. Really feel bad for the guy.

The thing is he didn't have the skill to get his own shot off in the NBA. He would've been a great spot up shooter or whenever his man leaves to help, but Curry is light years ahead of him in terms of creating his own shot. To keep it simple, if Curry was tomato, then Morrison would be carpet.

I think he could have been a really good player if he had been on a different, more nurturing team. I'm surprised that he never got a serious look after his stint with the Lakers.

Morrison's problem was that he got stuck on the bench and then completely lost confidence in his abilities. The guy was too used to being dominant in college and didn't enjoy being a punchline. He did well in Europe, but not everyone can live overseas. It didn't suit him, and then he soon lost the will to keep fighting for his dream. It's too bad. You get the sense that this is something that really bothers him and that years from now, when it's too lately, he'll regret retiring so young.

Morrison could at least stay in the league as a spot up shooter, but he lost all the confidence he had in his game after being stuck on the bench for too long.

Not athletic enough and he just didn't have the range to make it as a spot up shooter.

Didn't pan out?! How many NBA championship rings do you have, OP?
Adam retired with 2 rings. That's two more than the amount Karl Malone, John Stockton, Tracy McGrady, Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant all have won COMBINED.
People shouldn't feel sorry for Adam. They should be glad he retired instead of wrecking in the Finals every season.

Same thing is happening to Jimmer Fredette, he is rotting on the NBA bench. The only great shooter from college that panned out in give NBA is JJ Redick.

How dare you speak of the greatest Charlotte Bobcat like he is just some scrub?!
I bet next you'll be saying Darko Milicic isn't the best baller from the 2003 NBA Draft.

If you aren't a superstar talent. Its all about Luck. You need to get lucky and get drafted by the right franchise. Some guys aren't meant to be stars. Some are meant to be good role players. Nothing wrong with that at all. Look at Guys who get to the Spurs.

Who are the Bobcats?

Morrison wasn't that athletic but if he wants it he will get another shot. If he finds his shot a team like San Antonio could do worse on a 10 day contract.

I thought it was obvious I was kidding as soon as I mentioned Morrison's name among NBA greats, but apparently not.

Why does green font mean "I'm joking!!!" anyway?

His career was derailed by an injured pornstache.
Still, he's borderline HOF with just his NBA achievements.
His college years at Gonzaga will push him over the edge.
Looking forward to his induction speech!!!!

He was a scorer -- not a shooter -- that couldn't score against NBA defenses, he didn't strive to improve himself, and he was mentally fragile.

If not for him being a high profile pick, he would have been out of the league even sooner.
