It's funny. When Carmelo was leading Syracuse to the NCAA title as a Freshman, he wasn't talked about in such a disdainful way.
Point is: Player's games transfer to the pros differently based on their athleticism. The way Parker plays now, could be totally different when he plays against NBA athletes every game. Things he does now may get lost, as he tries to match up with quicker and stronger defenders.
Its ashame that just because Melo is Ball Stopper and the Knicks are terrible..... that they forget just how good Melo is . Easily a Top 10 player
Its like people throw anyway the fact that he lead the entire NBA in scoring last year. and is averaging 26/9 this year. Good luck trying to top that Jabari Parker
Dunno, Melo wasn't "easily" a top ten player last year. Might be one this year, but I don't think it is out of Jabari's Parker's reach to be barely a top ten player.
Parker has better stats than Melo did at his age, I think leading the league in scoring isn't a high priority for someone who might be the #1 pick in the draft. It's not like Melo is the best scorer in the NBA or ever was, so what's even the point of mentioning he lead the league in scoring? Durant had similar PPG but way better %.
