Ask on the soccer forum, there's likely a Rio local who will have the best idea.

I'd lose my mind if we somehow got Parker and Smart out of this draft. I'd also lose my mind if we passed on Parker for Wiggins at 2, albeit in a different capacity.

Definitely this. They are on opposite ends of their trade value spectrums in my opinion.

Sanders is just starting a new, long term contract, coming off a horrible year for a number of reasons, people may have started to forget his value as a rim protector and potential to still improve his offensive game. Injury and attitude concerns are at the top of everyone's mind at the moment.

Henson has great numbers and looks ready to explode on paper, but the people who have watched him the most, just don't see him able to make that jump. He is an 'older' sophomore at 24 years of age and has some obvious deficiencies that could prevent him from going from a rotation player to All Star level guy. Some small maturity / professional issues are starting to creep in also that may not be well known around the league.

I want to hang onto Sanders, at least until his value improves which I believe it will, and I wouldn't be upset at management if they make a call on Henson and try to sell high while he has decent value.

Philly would almost certainly trade down here if this was their line of thinking.

I don't want to sound too harsh on Henson either. Nice guy, always says the right things and has been a good draft pick where we got him. Would be a tough call to trade a guy after two solid first years in the league but would be the tough kind of call i'd love new management to make.

Jordan Adams, DeAndre Daniels, and DeAndre Kane in the 2nd would be a coup, but based on Moore's mock, I'd take my chances on Thanasis at 48 (Moore has him going 49)

Matt Moore has a tad more sense than Steve Kyler. And that isn't much.

But for the hell of it, if the draft fell that way, I'd go: Parker/Porzingis/McGary/Thanasis

over-analysis of peace and prosperity

and these people get paid to put out this garbage. not that mock drafts aren't inherently silly to begin with considering they always have about 5% accuracy.

unless embiid's back injury is significant, there's not a snowball's chance in hell embiid, wiggins, and parker don't go top 3 in some order

Henson reminds me of Charlie V. just really doesn't seem like he wants to put the effort in to be an elite player.

I like Vonleh better next to Noel than I do Parker.

I think most of the trade stuff around Sanders is based on the assumption that he still has much higher trade value than Henson. If you can get 7 for Knight and Henson, by all means, yes, do that.

I think Henson pretty easily has equal to more trade value than Sanders right now. Coming off of Sanders' fat extension and his subsequent abortion of a season, his value is at rock bottom. Henson is a young big coming off of a pretty impressive season. If teams believe Sanders will return to form, then I could see it, but to give meaningful value for Sanders would be a sizable risk and a hard sell for a GM to present to an owner.

I'll be in Rio boarded up in a hotel trying desperately to have a reliable way to watch it, while everyone else is down at Copacabana Beach or partying somewhere but I wouldn't have it any other way

I said after the UCLA game that Parker reminded me of Bird, but with good passing in place of all time great passing. I could still see that.

I don't see any similarity almost between Bird and Parker. Not only was Bird a special passer (which Jabari definitely isnt) but also an incredible shooter with range Parker could only dream of.

Also, on nights when his shot was off Bird would crash the boards and influence the game in all the other ways beyond scoring. I don't think I have ever seen Jabari take such an approach
