:-?

Idk guys :,(

No team is trading a top 3 pick for a rental of Love. That's that.

I feel you on that but why people are so high on taj Gibson? He is just average an like heading into his 30's butler is decent as well just over hype players on the bulls I don't see no deal with bulls

I didn't know Gibson was that old (28 ) :o

Anyway, Gibson and Butler help the Wolves win now. They are tough nosed players who know how to play defense, which is something Minny doesn't have much of. Not only that, but the big rumor is that Mirotic is included in the trade who is commonly thought of as the best prospect in Europe currently....then they also have the 16th and 18th picks up for offering.

It's really not a bad offer. It's pretty damn good actually to be honest. :/

The GSW offer is the only one I don't understand. It's pure junk, imo, and I got into a pretty heated argument about that one with some peeps before.

Why would they want to win now ? With aging Gibson an butler doe ? They would even compete in the eat with that squad yet compete in the west? Makes no sense our 6 an 17 are way better than there two picks only edge I give them is mitotic who probably will not live up to his hype

haha, i see a lot of worried folks in here now, all of a sudden.

No offense but, this is the best example I can come up with.

Imagine you take a girl out, nice fancy date. She likes you and all but doesn't mean she'll date you again. So just because Love came for the weekend WHICH MADE ALL THIS EXPLODE doesn't mean he'll come here.

As of right now, I think Love will never be a Celtic. Not now, not when he is FA.

Harsh.

But I never thought Love was coming to Boston. I'm yet to hop onto the bandwagon as I think he'll end up on a team that was more competitive last year. I'd love to be wrong, though.

Jackie's info is definitely coming from either Doc or KG, and by that I mean the former. Fwiw, flip was a consultant on the coaching staff during the 2012 playoffs. Basically an assistant coach/KG whisperer.

going off-topic here: A lot of teams if not ALL should look how San Antonio built their power house team that will be in the finals mix forever it seems like. Unless you can get a SUPERSTAR like LeBron or Durant you aint winning sh*t.

Celtics to me always seem to RUSH...win one championshp...then suck for 5 yrs...and it goes on...

If i was Ainge I would call Flip and tell him he can do business with other teams. Keep #6 pick and if Rondo wants to be a drama queen trade him. Thats why Paul Pierce is top 2-3 Celtic ever. Guy stayed here no matter what. Got stabed and almost died but still stayed...and finally he got the ring... no offense but who the hell Rondo think he is ?

He needs to get back in that "top 5 pg" discussion then he can demand what he wants.

that #6TH Pick could be dwayne wade while #1 could be Darko Milicic or Michael Olowokandi, hell even Greg Oden. Imagine if Portland drafted Durant ? LOl

Even if we get Love Melo and add whatever we still wont win a title.

Nets thought they would DESTROY everyone because they had all these high caliber players...and look at them now.

Keep the #6th pick. Call Flip and tell him deal is off.

He went to an up and coming team instead of a decrepit and declining one...?

How should people look at SA? They tanked to get a generational talent in Duncan. Isn't that what all tanking teams try to do? I'm not sure why that model is so special or amazing. San Antonio already had the makeup of a good team but rested their best player all year to tank for a pick and moved up 3 spots in the lottery. They lucked out and got Duncan, who actually tried to leave the team once for Orlando.... I don't get why everyone loves that tanking model so much. That's exactly what the Celtics and multiple other teams did this year.

Tank until you get that generational talent, I guess?

Maybe he was trying to say some other team would offer a better package than we would ..... So don't get our hopes to high although Idc what happens I'm always prepared for the worst like draft lotterys I always expect us to get the worst ...

Or Flip himself or Kevin McHale, or Thibs, or any number of people in the Warriors operation, even the Lakers. Ainge does not take care of the media local or national. He screws with Wojo who is universally thought of as the most straight shooter in this sordid business.

People thought Doc had loose lips but he was just normal I think the Celtics have gone Patriots so enjoy the surprises.

and i didnt mean to tank like san antonio did to get tim duncan...popovich is just a great coach who plays his young players... just look at san antonios rotation....thats it...

Yup tankin is to risky an it kills the pride of our lovely celtics !!! I rather see us lose in the playoffs than see us lose in the lottery over an over again ...We never get lucky in the draft !!!

I don't know. Maybe he should have won more games so the Celtics could have been in the same position as Cleveland, given that they won the lottery. Clearly, the Celtics tanked too hard and should have won more games.
