anderson is smooth, but a bit slow

what the team needs is a 3+D player, think kawhi leonard

I don't want kyle anderson. I'd much rather use the 20th to snatch inglis before anyone else does.

Yeah, I like Inglis more as well. I think he offers just as much offensively versatility with his size, ability to handle and pass, but unlike Anderson, his versatility is two-way.

Rapsobsessed7 wrote:LOL if you guys think Casey will play Anderson. If sits Ross (our best perimeter defender) because of defensive lapses, imagine what will happen to Anderson. I can see it now.

Casey - "what are you doing! Play defense!!!"

Anderson - "Coach i gave a valiant effort, these guys are professionals"

Anderson benched for the next 10 games. This guy wont play for Casey and if he has a say in the draft process (which my guess is he does), he wont be drafted by us. Payton, McDaniels, guys like that who give it on the defensive end would IMO be ahead of Anderson as a draft choice.

If we draft KA, it will be because Casey is confident he can make it work. Remember, Casey isn't all about man-on-man D so much as he is about the team defensive concept. Demar got minutes, Vasquez got minutes (at the 2), Novak got (more) minutes (than Fields). Also, a lot of mistakes that lead to youngster benching were on offense.

It's possible Masai has Inglis up his sleeve, but I think there's a better chance KA is the pick at 20.

I like Inglis a lot but at this point Anderson is more of a gamer, more of a natural. His perimeter shooting might be considerably better as well.

Twill be very interesting to see which way Ujiri goes.

Not the prettiest stroke but interesting nonetheless. I'd be curious just how often those shots went down.

I kinda like Grant. Not sure if he can play the 3 full time but he's interesting.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I think he is very talented and unselfish, but the fact is he is a player that had possession after possession run through him. Coming to the Raptors he will have to play off the ball. Does this role fit his game? I don't think so. I think we really have to consider the fit when you have Lowry and Derozan and JV who deserve possessions and regularly have the offense go through them.

I think we need a guy like Ross who is a good shooter, energy defender that can play off the ball. Anderson just seems like a poor fit with the way we are composed.

Disagree. We're in pretty dire need of floor-game and facilitation at the 3. Ball movement improved post trade but tightened right up in the playoffs because even Lowry isn't the best passer. JV doesn't get ideal post-feeds nor nearly enough assists when on the move.

Anderson seems like the kind of player whose passing is infectious, and suddenly your percentage of easy buckets makes a crucial leap. Add that his jumper is looking more and more NBA-ready and you've got potential for massive synergies.

Lowry and Demar aren't a good enough passers to not want a point forward that can shoot. The only real issue is defenseman and he's even got potential there due to his length.
what about his foot speed? Is it quick enough to guard small forwards?

100% of the time. Watch the video.

:-P

I had a feeling he would be the type who'd look interesting in an open gym because he's underwhelming in games. He definitely has more quickness and coordination than many PFs and more length than some SFs. Definitely a tweener but doesn't seem as compelling as Thaddeus Young did coming out. If he was I'd want him at 20. I like Thadd Young a lot. Grant reminds me more of Aminu.

Some Spurs forum has Inglis on their list. Based on other sources, it is not surprised Inglis is gone before our 2nd pick. I would also have Powell at #37, but I am not sure he is getting workout with the Raptors.

So what's your opinion of Cj Fair?

I think he's gonna be available with later pick, tweener senior not very good defensively

See the same thing.

Let kyle be the point forward off the bench and vasquez can play off the ball to see what he's got, and eventually when he's ready we can insert him to play the starting SF, hope we draft him

I feel you man, I'm starting to warm up to KA. His play-making at that height is just too good to pass up at his size. I also like Levine as well. UCLA connection. That dude can be an instant offense off the bench

With Anderson can see line-ups of 1st unit Lowry, Ross, Anderson, Amir & Jonas strong defensively or as second unit Ross, Vince, Anderson, Patterson and Bachynski a under tall line-up if we get Anderson can't see Vasquez fitting in. LaVine he didn't show much this year at UCLA but guess he is a all potential pick some what like DeMar but DeMar played more and always had the work ethic see LaVine more as a Waiters potential 6th man.

KA, GV, PP off the bench and people think they'll get by on team defense

remember how excited people were at obtaining Hedo
