I fear the NBA's agenda more than any team in this league
For 48 minutes, the Spurs held a 2-1 FTA advantage and that is not even including the other blown calls that had nothing to do with FTs. This was almost like G5 of the Pacers series, except instead of LeBron picking up 5 fouls in 12 minutes, it was Chalmers. Even a call that had 99% chance of going the Heat's way, went the way of San Antonio instead.
And who was that ref that kept overturning every call that went in Miami's favor? Kenny Mauer?
And we STILL should've won.
None of these teams can hold a candle compared to us and tonight just proves it.

We probably win no matter what if not for the cramp gate. Wade and Bosh totally disengaged and gave up once LeBron went out. Wades defense in particular on Danny Green was embarrassing late

If the league wants you to lose, you're not gonna win. LeBron's injury had nothing to do with it and the Spurs getting hot from three doesn't mean anything if the FTAs were equal, or if correct calls aren't overturned, or if obvious calls aren't blown.Tuff Gong wrote:We probably win no matter what if not for the cramp gate. 31-9 run has nothing to do with agenda. Show me one good pass from the Heat in the last 8 minutes. We simply played bad iso basketball and left thier shooters open on the second pass. Spurs won that game. We played horrible to close that out.

Lebron not being in the game had nothing to do with it.

Have you seen Wade's D in the 4th ?
Neither have I, cause it was **** missing.
Not to mention how the offense just ground to a halt and turned into 100% ISO ball. No more movement, no picks, no cuts, NOTHING !!!! You can't win like that against a good team.

Not to debunk anyone else theory on the loss but you covered it. The offense stalled with the lack of ball movement, and you can't let the Spurs just stand still on defense.

Re: I fear the NBA's agenda more than any team in this leagu
Did the Heat **** the bed when LBJwemt to bench? Yes. Unlike the Spurs that have a system that fits each player, we don't. LBJ out and as you saw we become sloppy. But... Was there another clear agenda tonight? Yes. Both teams are equal and play the same way.. Yet.. Spurs got a lot of support from the guys in stripes. As a fan it's hard to understand or comprehend but that's the NBA. You just have to hope the Heat can overcome the agenda like they did last year where they shot the least amount of FT's in a 7 game series in NBA history..

Really, guys? We're playing this angle? So Wade's matador defense and Miami's willingness to allow the Spurs who, playing under the same conditions, executed their way to an almost-flawless 36 point 4th quarter? THIS IS WHAT YOU COME UP WITH, OP?!

Your missing the point of the OP.
The Spurs killed us when it counted and won the game in the 4th. Wade's D was laughable at time and our system failed but..... For first 3 Qt of the game, the Officals had a handle on the game. Every Heat run ended with FT's for Spurs. The Bosh out of bounds, the LBJ offensive gold tend... For most of the gmse the Spurs had a 2 to 1 advantage on FT's. You can make a case Spurs were attacking but you can say they were attacking twice as much as Miami. Last year the Heat won the title with a record low FT attempts.. No a game record! A series Record? So all of a sudden in the biggest series the Heat dont get fouled as much? That foolish! It's not about the win or the lose it's about the odds being stacked against you.
Officals are human! They have biases and agendas like we all do. Fans are allowed to call out a player for bad play but laughed at if fans call out what they see as terrible officiating? Did they give Spurs game? No! But like Mario Chalmers bad play, the Officals also helped the Spurs tonight. A lot of a little equals a lot.

Not just D.. his O too. I think he had 2 points in the 4th. Thats pretty bad for a player of Wades caliber in a game where LeBron is sitting the majority of the 4th. If LeBron pulled that off with Wade sitting down the stretch he would be crucified beyond belief. Especially if he was leaving Danny Green wide open for multiple 3s in the process

Re: I fear the NBA's agenda more than any team in this leagu
I'm not going to put the blame on D-Wade or anything but this is the second time this postseason that LeBron goes out and he all of a sudden doesn't know how to play basketball anymore. In Game 5 against Indiana he was terrible on both ends & once again the same thing happened tonight in Game 1
We can blame the NBA refs & make conspiracies because I do feel like this league has double standards but the fact of the matter is that without LeBron on the floor this team just gets completely out of rhythm. I put this loss on our team more than anything else...I feel like we'll win Game 2 & this series still but it sucks ass to let one go away like this

Everyone knows that we are called always against us. That basket interferance was so sad. How many of those duncan does per game? Geez. We also had good looks all game long , we just have to capitalize it. We could had blown out the spurs but our shot wasnt falling. Happens.

We played too much iso ball most of the night, it's just a difference when you have a LeBron James out there instead of Chalmers, Allen or Cole trying to create something off the dribble. It didn't help that Wade went MIA in the second half.

DWade's Matador defense has been on display for the last 3 years. I have always complained that he can not guard a three point shooter who runs around in screens. He just won't waste the energy. Unfortunately, he is going to have a hard time this series with Danny Green. He allowed Danny Green to get off last year and this year will be no different. I guess he was conserving his energy for offense, but he fell in love with his J too much which wasn't dropping.
