Cavs are willing to trade Waiters and Thompson for a pick

Not entirely sure how I feel about either player.. I have an idea how Waiters plays from fantasy basketball but I haven't seen both players play live.

What I got from Waiters is that he has potential to be a big time scorer but he still seems to be inconsistent. I don't know a lot about Thompson.

I'm not really sure how I feel about these two and was hoping to get some info. what do you guys think? Are these two worth our 8th?

I say no. The only Cav I have any interest in is Andersen Varejao. I think he could be a decent back up center.

Doubt it's the Kings. If they did it without moving one or both of JT and Landry they're just hoarding and it's going to cost them down the road. Good luck to the Cavs getting into the top 8 with that package.

Tristan Thompson is a better version of Jason Thompson basically. I'm dang disappointed in how his shot blocking has completely faded. He was a good shot blocker in college.

Kings are willing to pass on that trade.

Advanced stats say Thompson is not the guy we want at PF.

I wouldn't mind getting Tristan Thompson in a different trade. At least he's better than JT and still developing. However, I don't like the trade if Kings have to take Waiters and don't get to dump Landry or JT.

In college he looked like the perfect guy. How do you go from 2.4 bpg in college to 0.4 in the pros? I'd normally say it was the defensive 3 second rule if I didn't know that this is a mobile PF we're talking about.

Yeah I'm more interested in getting Thompson in a different trade other than trading our 8th pick away.

That's interesting that his blocks went down that much from college. I did hear a lot of hype from Tristian Thompson about his energy and defense. Could it be a coaching thing? Obviously brown couldn't control that locker room. I am however intrigued by the idea of the Thompson being coached by Malone.

My guess is that the Lakers offer their pick for that package. They need young talent badly I'm sure they would value those guys highly.
