That's also tough because the Kings just eat money on this deal. They hinder the chances they have in next summers free agency. Any space to do anything with is gone after this deal unless they let Gay walk. If the Bulls want that deal done they need to send the Kings pick owed to them back too. That or they need to eat Jason Thompsons deal at the very least.
Bulls could have room to take Thompson. If I'm Sac I insist they take him or no deal.

I like Gibson but they'd have to sweeten that deal significantly. Gibson isn't worth the 8th pick in a draft like this.

I think JT going the other way makes it pretty close. Maybe if we can ship Landry out too somehow.

Of course trying to get rid of bad contracts as well.

The following deal that has the Kings 8th pick involved in a 3 team trade was posted on the Twolves "Kevin Love" thread.

CHI GETS: Love + Martin
SAC GETS: Taj Gibson + 16
MIN GETS: 8, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic, Carlos Boozer (exp), Jason Terry(exp) 19, future CHA 1st

I don't think Mirotic will give his blessing to be dealt to the Wolves, but I do think SAC gets good value from this potential trade. Gibson is a good guy to have play with Cousins for the next 2 years on the frontline for the Kings...IMO.

Like the others said, the Kings would prefer to move Thompson instead. I would take on 19 instead of 16 to do this. The Bulls are getting Kevin Love. They can take on JT.

I would just take Kevin Martin out of the deal. If the Wolves want to move him, I see no reason why they can't do it separately. He's signed to a fair deal. He'll be movable.

I'd still take that trade though. Taj would make a big improvement on defense. Hopefully some team gets desperate and needs a backup big...

Oh, if JT is going with it then that changes things.

It would still be questionable for me. JT is actually a serviceable back up big, Landry would be closer IMO

JT can play back up center but Id rather JT leave. Im sick and tired of his whining.

He's a serviceable backup big on a team that literally has almost no real use for him. The Kings have too many guys that are not problem solvers. If JT was the guy they liked then good, but picking up a Landry for the same price means to me they want Landry, and JT has to go. We've seen the Cuz/Landry/Thompson three headed monster of doom and it didn't scare anybody. JT did look pretty decent playing limited minutes as a backup C, but he's far from ideal and at that his space on the cap could be much better used if that were his role moving forward. If the Kings draft someone like Gordon then JT is just further doomed as an asset. He should be the 5th big next year in any realistic scenario. Hello Kenny Thomas!
