Yeah, he is going to be suspended for 6 game next season, but there is no doubt that he would fill a hole for one our starting safety roles.
He's only 24 and the Bears locker room has known to be a good influencing environment and has strong leadership.
On top of that Emery doesn't shy away from going after guys with an history and he would come cheap on top of that.

Why not. Or Ed Reed? Ed is probably done, but maybe he needed more time to get back. Wouldn't hurt to look at anybody

Normally I would say yes, but 3 suspensions? 2 for drugs & one for PEDs? The man has a dependency problem.
That said, for a minimum contract I still might bring him in. But not sure I'd trust him over Steltz, Jennings, Mundy or Conte.
FYI: Brock Vereen is running with the first team in OTAs with Mundy.

With Vereen, he could be a season away to be a reliable player. IMO, he's green right now and even if you want to give him field time, not sure if you want to rely on a rookie 4th rounder to be a permanent starter.
I feel like Conte is going to be starting next to Mundy when he's healthy because every other safety not named in this thread, on this roster sucks. And that's saying a lot because Conte sucks too. With that said, begger's can't be choosers.
Plus like you said, I think he would come for the minimum. Sign him to a 1 or 2 year minimum contract.

Who's Will Hill? And I saw some article that said the Bears have interest in Ed Reed. Can't find it again to post the link. Sorry.

He was a young safety that played for the Giants.
He got suspended for 6 games this coming season for a 3rd strike for smoking pot I think. He was released by the Giants because of that. He's only 24 and is pretty good so he would have been a starter for us for sure.

He's gotta support the habit. Does His Suspension count while playing for the Rattlers?fleet wrote:---Former New York Giants safety Will Hill signed with the Arena League's Arizona Rattlers.
