Suns interested in Love deal w/best assets Dragic, Bledsoe & picks.NBA sources say it will take full max deal to control free agent Bledsoe.

If they traded Dragic, Bledsoe and picks, then who is he supposed to play with in Phoenix?

It sounds like it's just listing the assets the Suns have to Land Love.

So it would be one of Bledsoe or Dragic and a draft pick or two. IMO, giving up both Dragic and Bledsoe is a bit much for the Suns.

Just because the Bulls don't have more assets to trade does NOT mean that you can get away with trading less. It just means the Bulls don't have enough to trade for Love.

Maybe no team has enough by that measure? What then if you are Minny, lose him for nothing?

In reality then you take the best offer. Apparently not even Boston's offer is high enough so far, so most likely they won't gut their team either.

That's the problem when your superstar is letting it be known he is leaving, it just sucks and sometimes you have to settle.

Doesn't mean the settle will be with the Bulls at all, but my bet whoever it ends up being, Minny fans will be mad and think they didn't get enough. Because 'enough' is always going to be fair value in fans minds and that is just unlikely in this circumstance.

While it's impossible to know who has the best offer right now, I feel extremely confident the Celtics will get Love unless he relents and says he'd be willing to go to Cleveland (rumored they've offered the #1 pick, but Love has made clear he doesn't want to stay there), or the Warriors relent and offer Klay (not happening). The Celtics have enough first round picks they can win any bidding war if they really wanted to. Maybe the deem it too much to overpay but management/Ainge knows that if they don't make a splash, Rondo is gone and it always takes 150 cents on the dollar to get a star and it is just good business to be proactive.

Phoenix are not moving both Dragic & Bledsoe for Love. They would be mental too. Not sure why they're even interested.

He won't resign there, not if they move one or more of their young guns.

Would be Minnesota 2.0.

Doesn't make sense for Minnesota either. What would they do with Rubio, Barea, and Shved then? Even if you tried to unload those guys after, their value would be at an all time low.

If Kahn was still there, he could pursue his dream of having only PGs on the roster.

PG: Rubio
SG: Dragic
SF: Shved
PF: Bledsoe
C: Barea.

I had this thought awhile back but mever brought it up because I thought it wasn't possible until now. The only reason I see the suns trading Bledsoe is because they don't want to give him the max. If that's the case, assuming we move the same pieces we would to try to get melo, could we offer Bledsoe the max?

Thats prob what Minnny wants or they are trying to get teams to up the offers. They will not get anything near that.

I don't believe so, but it wouldn't matter. All indications point to Phoenix matching any offer on him- including the max.
Derrick Rose will do 1 of 2 things in the 2014-2015 NBA Season: 1) Return to MVP form and prove you wrong, or 2) Fail to return to MVP form and prove me wrong. Either way, one of us will end up looking like an ***hole.

Flip Saunders: Kevin Love has no right to be frustrated
Dan Feldman Jun 7, 2014, 3:30 PM EDT

Kevin Love’s decision to bolt Minnesota as soon as possible has been years in the making.

Ever since the Timberwolves refused to offer him a five-year contract extension, Love has been frustrated. He felt neither owner Glen Taylor nor then-general manager David Kahn treated him well enough.

There was once hope Flip Saunders could change Love’s perception of the Timberwolves, but if that ship hasn’t already sailed, Saunders seems to be doing his best to further alienate Minnesota’s star player.

Saunders appeared on KFAN 100.3 and spoke about Love.

Host: “Doesn’t he have a right to be frustrated?”
Saunders: “No.”
Host: “You don’t think so?”
Saunders: “Just like I told Garnett, he didn’t have a right to be frustrated. Why does any player have a right to be frustrated? You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution.”
Saunders: “Should the team be frustrated? Yeah, the team can be frustrated. But I don’t think any one individual should be frustrated.”
Saunders: “I tell a story. I tell a story about – we were in the locker room when KG was in like his third year in the league, and Sam Mitchell was sitting in the locker room. KG was in there, and we had lost a couple games, and we were all sitting there talking. KG started going, ‘Hey, you’ve got to start doing more.’ And he’s talking to some of the bench guys. ‘You’ve got to start doing more.’ And Sam said, ‘Hey, hold it, hold it. Let me tell you something. You’re making all the money. Hey, it’s your responsibility. You make the money, you’ve got to live up to that.’ So, that was the mentality, and from that time, KG never ever from that point, he always took responsibility.”

Shots fired.

3 things,

-Confirmation that Love is holding the team responsible

- 'Wolves don't care about angering him. Tell your stud in public he is full of it? Uh...you know this is only a matter of when not if. And also, Sam Mitchell can coach my team anyday.

- Like Rubio, appears Flip is saying Love is not a great leader ALA KG. But hard to argue with his production yes?

Anyways, KG is legendary. Young superstar grows into a true veteran team leader

^I don't see how Melo or Love stay at there respective clubs, like the chances are next to nilch.

If we don't get one we sure as hell better get the other, this is the off-season we've all been waiting for.

I can't take the Wolves organisation seriously given how they handled Love and his extension. They expect him to not be frustrated given the way they treated him like some second rate star?

Since that point, Love was gone. They brought it on themselves.

I want Love, but I feel unwilling to give up all assets. I especially don't want to see a package that is Taj, Butler AND all 2014 picks traded together for just Love. Thibs is a great D coach, but losing 2 of our best 3 defenders will be scary.

I hope MINN is looking at maybe a Taj, Mirotic, unguaranteed filler, Sac pick, and a future bulls pick package.

Dumb move to use KG as an example IMO. Yeah, I'm sure Love wants to emulate the KG experience, years upon years of the Minnesota organization putting crap together around him save maybe 1-2 years, wasting pretty much his entire prime, then only getting a shot at a title because he got traded.

Spears never said the Suns will trade them. All he said was:
1. Suns are interested in trading for Love - truly shocking news
2. a list of their best assets.

Bledsoe is a free agent and would have to want to go to Minny. Seems unlikely.

Yep. Flip comes off as an idjit here.

Also, KG pulled his weight and then some, Flip.
