Love doesn't want anything to do with Cleveland. Lol. I found this articles on the CelticsBlog. I will post it shortly.

Jackie MacMullen of ESPNBoston.com reports that while the Cavaliers have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft to help get the wheels in motion, Love has zero interest in playing for Cleveland should a trade come to fruition.

Are the Cleveland Cavaliers still dreaming of signing LeBron James?
Kyrie Irving is a desirable teammate, and this year’s No. 1 pick should produce another quality player. But LeBron will become a free agent in one of the next three offseasons. There might not be time to wait for a young player to develop.
But, hey, Kevin Love is available, and the Cavaliers showed interest in him long before he threatened to leave the Timberwolves. How about a deal based on No. 1 for Love?
Jackie MacMullan of ESPNBoston.com:
Cleveland has the No.1 pick and has interest in Love, sources confirm, but the feeling isn’t mutual.

The Cavs could trade Embiid for Love, sign Gortat to play center, resign Deng using his Larry Bird rights, and be a hell of a basketball team next year. I am not convinced that Love would bolt Cleveland. Love might also be able to turn Tristan Thompson and Anthony Bennett into serviceable NBA players, as a mentor. If you're Cleveland, you have to try to get Kevin Love and finally be back in the playoffs.

That's a whole bunch of ifs. The only way Love is re-signing with the cavs is if they get Lebron.

That is the sports talk radio conventional wisdom, but I don't buy it. Cleveland has the ability to make itself appear to be a cool, desirable basketball city. When LeBron was there, and they were on TV ALL THE TIME, it seemed to everyone that Cleveland wasn't any weirder to be a professional basketball player in, than Boston or Detroit or Chicago. The arena had fans, the city had prestige and the team was popular all over the country. You assemble the team I suggested around Irving and Waiters and Varejao (with whatever he still has left), and there will be plenty of wins, a guaranteed playoff run, and fresh excitement in the city, with adoring fans. Love could very well decide to stay-- don't assume that he won't.

The problem is that their ownership is clueless and they don't have a coach. Plus their city is a hole. Have you been there lately? No joke...It's worse than Detroit

No one wants to play for the cavs. They are a joke of a francise. Look no futher than them hiring back Brown with a 5 year contrat then firing him after one season.

Re: Love in town to "see what it's like"
Sounds like Love is looking for some stability in his next franchise and Cleveland might be the most unstable franchise in the entire league. That's an "out the frying pan" situation for Love and they're not going to be able to change that perception/reality in one season.
If I'm a player, Gilbert being Gilbert is a bigger concern than Cleveland being Cleveland.

And broadening the last point, if I'm a player, the guy I'm looking at most closely when joining a team is the principal owner. If nothing else, you have to feel good about the Celtics because I think we rate pretty highly with Wyc.

Given that Gilbert offered an absurd contract to Callipari, I wouldn't put it past him to put out an absurd offer that the Wolves can't refuse.

I'm not saying stability isn't a factor but I think Love is doing what most of us would do.
Balance money/endorsements, chance to win, and quality of life.
One could argue that the Lakers right now aren't that stable either. Like the Cavs, they fired their coach, 80% of their roster could be gone and their long term owner recently died. Still, I think Love chooses LA way before Cleveland even though Cleveland has the better roster going forward.
Cleveland hasn't been stable but I think with Love its just Cleveland as a city has less appeal. Lebron returning or the Cavs drafting Embiid and he has a great rookie year, I think are the only things that can quickly change that.
Even Lebron in the past had a tough time getting players to Cleveland but with his recent rings, I do think it would be easier moving forward.

I think Cleveland would be irresponsible to not give up its #1 pick for Love this year. Love was a better prospect coming out of UCLA than everyone in this draft-- a dominant freshman season in scoring and rebounding. He was a 1st team All-American. Parker is the only freshman who made the All-American team and Love was much more of sure thing than Parker is, prospect-wise. Love was devalued because he was white and pudgy, but he lead his team to a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and eventually the Final Four, regardless of those deficiencies in the eyes of scouts.
No one in this draft has freshman Love's resume. No scout or executive has any reason to believe any of these guys will have Love's career, based on available evidence and information. And Kevin Love has now proven himself to be a superstar in the NBA. If the price to get Love, even for one season-- with the opportunity to convince him to stick around-- is trading away Embiid or Parker or Wiggins, you do it in a heart beat. You trade all three of those guys for one Kevin Love.
Cleveland almost made the playoffs for the first time since LBJ left town. Gilbert almost has to make every attempt at getting Love, especially if the #1 pick is suitably valued by Saunders where you don't have to throw in 3 more future first rounders or something.

None of that takes into account his contract status or the likelihood of him re-signing there.
Trading a #1 overall pick for a rental would be doubling down on their status as a complete joke of a franchise.

Oh hey, it's Tuesday. Another weekend has come and gone. Tell me.....did Kevin Love show up in any other cities over the weekend? Chicago? San Francisco/Oakland? Sacramento? Cleveland? No? Awww, what a shame.

Not when none of the guys in this draft are can't-miss prospects. Also, I think it would show Love how serious the Cavs are about creating something special with him and Irving as the cornerstones. I do not agree with all of these people like yourself who believe there is a 0% chance Love would stay with any of the possible teams he'd be traded to. Circumstances change. If the Cavs make a great run next season, make the playoffs, maybe get out of the first round, and the city goes all out to adore him, and he finds that he loves playing with Irving, he very well could stay. Don't dismiss that possibility.

I don't think Kyrie is that desirable a team mate. Doesn't play any D at all and doesn't do do enough other things to make up for it. Throw in the fact there are always reports over team mates not liking him etc.

Ha Ha. He hasn't shown up in Cleveland either. Lol. Kevin Love showed up in Boston because he is interested in playing for the Celtics. Whether we are his top preference of teams he is interested in remains to be seen, but I truly believe we wants to play for the Celtics. Why show up in Boston if you're not interested in the city or the Celtics for that matter.
