The only thing Charlotte would be losing is Zeller, a couple late picks, and a future 1st that should be a late 1st rounder as long as it's unprotected through the next few years. Use that #8 to upgrade the PF position with Randle, Vonleh, or Gordon and then follow that up with the #9 pick for Young, LaVine, or Stauskas. The Hornets would be the best young team in the league with the brightest future
Glad you like it as much as I do. I would honestly be alright with picking McDermott along with another scorer at the 2 guard (Stauskas or Lavine). One of the picks doesn't have to be a power forward. We've got three bigs in Al, Biz, and McBob (I think he'll return), we've got tons of cap space, MKG and McDermott could play a few small ball PF minutes (I recommend this, as we're playing Al-Jefferson-ball, surrounding him with wings is a good idea), and we can just as easily bring Tolly back. We need wing help so badly that I would actually advocate picking two wing scorers in the draft and bring in Lance (or Deng) on top of all that. Of course, if Vonleh or Randle falls, you've got to pick him up at 8 or 9.
I honestly think this is a pipe dream. I don't honestly think that package gets us a pick higher than 11.
