Dr J was sad after finding the 6ers were picking third.

I wonder if the 6ers wanted to pick first for Wiggins (or possibly Embiid).

If Parker was an inch taller I'd take Parker. But he's not so I take Wiggins and then offer Wiggins' draft rights for #3 (Parker) and #10. If Philly declines then Wiggins is a pretty nice consolation prize.

This assumes Embiid is off the board.

Well, If I'm philly I'll happily settle with Jabari. Even Nerlens Noel has said he prefers Jabari. And I don't see why you would pass Jabari because he lacks an inch in height when Jabari has almost the same standing reach with a guy with freakish length in Anthony Davis.

Jabari's tall standing reach is a great point (many scouts think Jabari will be able to play PF because of it). Parker would be a fine pick at #3 for Philly if he's on the board. Do you think Thad Young and Parker are redundant in some ways?

Also to note is Wiggins' standing reach is only a half inch less than Jabari's.

No, and I think both guys can compliment each other. On offense, Jabari's a guy who can create shots for himself and others. While Thad's more of a guy who is beneficiary from guys who can create like Iggy and MCW. On the defensive end, Jabari can guard bigger PFs while Thad can guard the quicker, smaller and more athletic PFs. And we've got MCW to create havoc in the passing lanes while Noel is there to protect the paint.

I think both teams, sixers and bucks, has personnel to mask Jabari's deficiencies on defense. It's just that I think Jabari's a better fit on your team on offense than us. For our offense is more like the Spurs offense where we don't rely on too much ISO offense and it might not maximize Jabari's strength. While Wiggins, I think would suit perfectly with our high paced, ball and player movement with spacing from the perimeter type offense.

No one on this board can convince me of Knight being much better than he was this year. I would trade him in a heartbeat.

i would trade him too, but i wouldn't mind him seeing him play the 2 next year. if he sucks, then our FO might realize he's not a building block, if he's good, it just raises his value/maybe he's more efficient or whatever.

at SG he won't constantly have the ball too.

This would be huge for us. Embiid would be ours at #2.

If true, we may very well get Embiid at #2 or trade for #3 & #10. That would be great if this is accurate.

Maybe it's just me but I think even if this went down n Philly got the #1 choice n chose wiggins,I still think the bucks would chose Parker,I just don't think the bucks have embiid rated as high as Wiggins n Parker.JMO

Looks like Cav's fans have the same problem re: local talk sports radio.

This was from RealCavsFans.net in response to one of their radio talkers (some guy named Rizzo) saying he'd jump off a bridge if the Cav's were to draft Embiid.

I stopped listening casually to that station months and months ago. Stopped listening to it altogether after hoping we'd get some sensible talk after the lottery and heard the Randle nonsense.

This just absolutely cemented the fact that I'm never turning that station on again. Don't know why I'd keep turning it back on over and over again expecting something different. It's like the very definition of insanity (cc Jiggles).

Couple that with the fact that the smartest basketball people I know are saying Embiid without question and these guys aren't, it tells me everything I need to know.

Heh, that's what I figured. The other Amico tweet a little higher up on the page also made me LOL. Seriously - his ability to throw random crap against the wall and try to get it stick rivals that of Gery.

There is still a chance he could grow. He's only 19.

Well then I think the bucks should then just forget the pick cause every player even this boards precious embiid and Wiggins have some type of hole in their game.

Didn't one of Lasry and Edens come out and state how much they like Embiid? I've been of the impression that they have Embiid #1 and Parker #2, just based off of some of the comments from them. Just my guess.

Too bad, because He was a transcendent player.

http://www.theonion.com/articles/christ ... -nba,1996/

Fans also eagerly await the return of Christ's "Ascension Dunk," a crowd favorite. In the patented move, Christ leaps His less-than-league-average 24-inch vertical, and miraculously ascends toward Heaven, floating in mid-air just long enough to stuff the ball. An accompanying angelic choir momentarily stuns His defenders as the ball comes crashing down on their heads. The move wowed audiences and judges at NBA All-Star Slam-N-Jam dunk competitions two years in a row.

Wiggins' holes aren't based on a lack of physical ability. Parker's largely are. You can teach half-court ability and handle. You can't teach lateral quickness or bigger size.

Watching the 84 draft documentary last night pretty much sealed Wiggins for me....again.

Just looking at Jordan as a rookie....has that same long, lean, springy body type that just floats out on the court, first step looks so effortless...he looks like he's holding the "turbo button" while everyone else is just moving at regular speed.

That's what I saw out of Durant and that's what I see out of Wiggins.

Wiggins is going to blow guys out of the water once he plays at the next level.

Jordan had a nice quote about being an NBA rookie after coming out of Dean Smith's system at UNC

"When I got to the NBA, I felt like I had the freedom to show off my game, show everyone what I could do."
