I think Ford is right on one thing: point guard is definitely the biggest need. It's why I think adding Exum probably adds the most wins in 2015.

I feel like something not fully vocalized here is the fact that, regardless of who we take, the greatest potential at the top of this or any draft is the potential for crippling regret.

The Kings also are listening to offers for their pick (apparently no one shops their picks anymore they just listen). If they can get someone who can play right now, they'll likely go that direction. They've shown interest in the Minnesota's Kevin Love, but have also lowered their sights for players like the Atlanta's Dennis Schroeder, and I'm told they also like Milwaukee's Brandon Knight.

However, if Smart is on the board here he'll be tough to pass. He's the perfect fit for a coach like Mike Malone. And don't count out Elfrid Payton here. He's coming off a terrific workout in Sacramento. If Smart is off then board, he's a possibility.

God damn, that would be awesome.

Exum will probably also be the most effective player from day one, don't you think?

All these organizations frantically, desperately doing anything that would give them even a 1% chance of landing Lebron is hilarious.

He learned his lesson after "The Decision". He isn't going anywhere.

Saric or Stauskas. Or to include with Henson to nab 6 and a falling Exum.

Knight straight up, no seconds for you

I know the Kings are dumb but they'd have to want more than just Knight for 8 wouldn't they? :)

you just don't ask, you say yes to Knight for #8 and hang up the phone before you start laughing

Henson/Knight for #8

Embiid or Wiggins at #2, Stauskas at #8, Napier at #31, Thanasis at #36, draft and stash Euro at #48...

That'd be cool.

I actually think LeBron ends up in Cleveland if Cal makes the move. I just don't think Cal would get any kind of guarantee before accepting the job and the prospect of landing in Cleveland with a crazy owner and no LeBron was too frightening when compared to his royal status in Lexington.

Love it except for Napier. He is the kind of PG we need to avoid.

I think we are trying to go after 7 or 8 or higher to get Exum or Smart.

I guess it depends on who's calling the shots now in the front office, but I could easily see us declining to move Brandon Knight for the #8 pick.

Lots of smoke and maybe fire about the Bucks targeting multiple lotto picks and Hammond saying the new owners are "going about rebuilding the right way." We are coming out of this with a lot of new and young players.

2 Jabari Parker Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks appear to be intrigued with all four players here: Embiid, Parker, Wiggins and Australian point guard Dante Exum.

If Embiid goes No. 1, I think Parker will likely get the nod here. While new ownership has made it clear that they are OK with GM John Hammond fully engaging the rebuilding process, the reality is that the team needs to draft a player who can help now. Parker is the most NBA ready of the group and gives them a go to scorer who likely would be slotted to play the 4 between Larry Sanders and Giannis Antetokoumnpo.

If Parker isn't on the board, Embiid has intrigued the team for a while. Given his offensive prowess (and Sanders utter lack thereof) they feel he's a good fit. Of course, as the Bucks keep breaking down tape, they keep getting more excited about Wiggins. They fly to Santa Barbara, Calif., this week to watch Wiggins workout. It will be interesting to see if that sells the Bucks on him. Exum is the wild card. The team gets him in for a workout this weekend. They'd really like to upgrade the point and move Brandon Knight to the 2. If Exum wows in the workout, he could move to the top of their board. i think he fits their biggest need.

Things I like:
- Ford is sensing (at least the potential) of some positive Wiggins momentum within the organization
- The team is open to Exum and could become more interested after the workout

- The reiteration that Knight is not a PG!!!

Things I don't like:
- Parker :D

If we are moving Knight, I'd hope we'd have a shot at Gordon/Smart/Exum. I'm just not sure I'd move him for Stauskas or McDermott.

I'm at the point where I am sold on all three guys having the ability to be star players now. How they turn out will, like every year, be kind of a crapshoot due to injuries, supporting cast, coaches, etc.

I think Embiid really does have the upside to be a Hakeem or Robinson type player. Because of that he's still the guy that I would like the most. I just don't see many flaws in his game and he continues to improve at such a rapid rate. Even if he does have some injury concerns, he is the type of talent that I'd take the risk with.

Wiggins is the guy I like second most because he's a freak. He needs to work on his handle and put on some size, but he seems like a sure thing to be a very good defender (assuming he puts in any sort of effort). I like that he can get his shot from anywhere and is a nightmare in transition. He should also be a monster on the boards as a 2-guard.

Parker is the guy I want the least, but wouldn't be all that upset with. I continue to watch the scouting tape on him of his strengths and weaknesses. He really is just a downright awful defensive player at this time, but he could become average if he just puts in the required effort and gets a bit smarter about it. I do think he has a chance to be a 25-30 point a night guy who can get you 8 boards and be a good distributor at the 4. I think he could kind of be the "James Harden of power forwards" in terms of his value.

I think you get #8 for Knight and then offer Henson+8 to the Magic for #4 or something like that.
