Because so many in the Wiggins camp value ultra athleticism and the allure of unlimmited potential, Jabari has kind of been inserted in to a narrative that labels him as the opposite (the over-developed, try hard, upperclassman). Can you imagine how different the discussion would be if Wiggins was not in this draft and Parker was going up against a sophmore or junior for the top pick? I think the crowd that currently celebrates Wiggins untapped development would be much quicker to recognize Parker's age, uncommon skills, and measurements as the positives that they are.

Switch a couple words around and you can say the exact same thing as Wiggins. People make it sound like he dribbles with two hands.

Huh? Rivers is way more athletic than Exum. Exum's more finesse.

Exum's max vert is 2-3 inches under his peers other than that he's a disgusting athlete. The speed of his first step and the separation he gets when he crosses his man over are out of this world. You'll see :D

The only reason I'd take Exum is to get us more Aussie posters.

honestly wouldn't mind exum at all. think it'd be questionable to take him at #2 (nice to trade down a spot or two), but whatever. people say he's a gamble, but i don't really think he's much different than wiggins in that regard.

would give us just insane length

Exum would mean Seattle. Dude is not going to be anything special in this league, hopefully he'll be a starter. Can't believe anybody has him over Smart when Smart does everything better just 2 inches shorter.

Someone's angry that it turns out Exum's evidently still an option at #2. :usa: I didn't know if you'd just avoid commenting.

agree JayMKE I like smart and though I have only seen videos of exum im amazed the hate for smart on this board and the immense love fest for exum.I think smart could end of being the best player in this draft, his D alone will be the best in the draft(embiid aside)

Not as angry as Bucks fans will be when Exum is getting beat out for playing time by Brandon Knight and Nate Wolters while Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid, and Andrew Wiggins go on to have HOF careers. Exum does nothing special, he's tall and quick THEREFOR Kobe in the eyes of idiots.

What does Exum do better than Smart? In what way will Exum be a better player in Smart? Smart is a better leader, a better PG, a better defender, he can get to the line and finish thru contact, he played against the best competition, he's only 20. Put them 1 on 1, who do you think would win? It really is no question to me, I don't let bias cloud my judgement tho.

Maybe do some research on Smart and why nobody has him at the top of their draft mocks.

according to the board hes quicker and im sure someone will say will say he plays great D and is by far a better PG.Hell there are still scouts and know it alls in college basketball that still are not sure if exum is a PG,well im not drafting exum 2nd if its unknown wether hes a PG or a SG.

I'm not advocating taking Smart at #2 or saying that he'll be better than the undisputed top 3 in this draft. My question is asking how anybody could rank Exum above Smart let alone rank him above any of the top 3.

Appealing to authority is a fallacy, saying that he's a top pick because mock drafts and "scouts" say so is a laughable argument. What does he do better than Smart?
