protest T Shirt Signup thread

Post#1 » by Neddy » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:45 am

as it was discussed in WTF thread by Riverside Clips, I have decided to make some T shirts.

it will say

"keep your wife...
keep your sillyrabbit...
but for Ned's sake, don't keep the Clippers! "

I am still deciding on some images, as the phrase will only be on one side of the shirt, but hopefully SuperNova can come up with something quick before it goes to the print shop.

right now, the default idea is to use the letters DTS with a big circle with a line across, as to symbolize our distaste for his presence with our beloved franchise.

they will be free for the realGM clippers forum members, and will consider for other realGM members as long as the cost of production doesn't blow up out of control for me. all i ask in return is to take a picture of yourself in it and sport your new Tshirt on a social media, as the purpose of it all is to show the Dirty Tricky Scumbag to see how much we the fans despise him.

thanks, and please sign up, ClipperNation!

the T shirts will be printed as soon as Monday, so I need to know how many i need to order by say, friday.
ehhhhh f it.

I should have read this thread first. I'm in and I have a feeling my wife may want a t shirt also.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

yeah according to my manager's research, even if I am 100 % innocent of using the image for profit, the copyrights law can empower the photographer and the publicity rights law can enhance the person of the particular image for grounds to sue me. to prove my innocence, I would need to spend up to tens of thousands of dollars on attorney fees to make my case in court and I am not about to risk that.

but i was thinking, how about an acronym? to borrow DTS and use it as

Dirty Tricky Scumbag with a big circle with a line across? could you come up with something spiffy?

if you want to use a photoshop, from what i have learned, as long as the image only reflects less than 20% of the original work, it is legal. so if you want to use that sterling image, it has to look vastly different and I am not sure if we have the time but if you can do something original, I would be all for it.

could you be able to do this before friday morning? I need to put the order in, i maybe able to delay this a little but if Sterling changes his mind before the shirts are ordered, all bets are off.

I also had an idea to list all of Sterling's doucheness over the years as if a rock band shirts list their tour dates on the back.

not at all, I got the idea from shuffling through the phrases,

"for God's Sake"
"for F***'s Sake" <------BTW this was my favorite but my wife said it would be a bad idea
"for Pete's Sake"

and i started to think, if F*** and Pete can have their names in the phrase, why not Ned? not because I am claiming divinity. and it avoids upsetting fellow clipper nation brothers who maybe atheists and rather not have the word "god" in this protest. call it my way of being politically correct while trying to gain some credit for making the T shirts....

I'm fat so I will go with a XXL

How about a cartoon of DTS behind a desk? Or him on top of one of his towers looking down on the little people of color below him? I can't draw, my wife can but I have no artistic talent whatsoever!

Lol I wonder what type of opinions you have with your wife in private OP

Maybe she should record you without your knowledge and start a t shirt business to put you out of all your assists!!!

The irony of people these days....

Good to see you truly know who DTS is. This is his first mistake. He's been a saint his entire life before this

It does not matter if his a scumbag or if he never apologized or what not.

The guy has rights

It was a private conversation illegally recorded

The guy is a self made multi billionaire, do you honestly think if he shared these thoughts he'd say them publicly?????!

Racism isn't to be encouraged, but DTS didn't say anything public. Don't confuse the two

He has forever been a racist POS and the worst owner in professional sports BY FAR.

Let us enjoy him being gone. He will be dead soon too.

yes she can, and I guarantee you that you will never hear me say anything near Sterling's racist rants because i don't think like him or you. if i ever rant, it is against all organized religions, science deniers, and ignorant people, (even if at times like these, it is probably due to piss poor education they received) who does not understand the simplest facts and ideas, such as the US constitution.

for instance,

Jameslm18 wrote:It does not matter if his a scumbag or if he never apologized or what not.

Yes he has his rights, therefore he isn't going to jail for what he said. that's what your constitutional rights guarantee when it states one shall not be prosecuted for his speech.

what has happened, to this racist scumbag, is a case of civil consequences.
he did not own a private independent business, he owned a franchise. try buying any franchise business, you may collect the income but your business structure is dictated by the parent company and its policies, as well as paying the parent company a fee for using their name. even a McDonald owner can lose his business if he violates the parent company's rules.

Ignorance isn't to be taken lightly or be laughed at, but that doesn't mean you and your mouth won't be frowned upon when expressing your own true idiocy. Don't confuse the two.
ehhhhh f it.
