I honestly wish they'd just fire him and Morway and bring in a new front office. Let a new group of eyes start making these decisions now.

Yes. We're active.

Can you confirm anything about Sanders and/or knight to Kings for #8?

From an intangibles standpoint, Parker is the best fit for the Bucks. He's well known, well spoken and from just down the road. He's the type of high quality guy this franchise badly needs to get the casual fan and media re-engaged. And I think he'll be a natural leader. Everything about him screams "best fit" for the Bucks.

But if he ends up being Big Dog while Embiid and Wiggins end up being Hakeem and Dominque Wilkins w/elite defense, that's going to be a big problem about six-months after the draft.

Part of me wishes Embiid was staying in school another year. Then we could take whoever is left between Parker and Wiggins and not have any mental anguish over the decision.

I simply want to end up with the best long term player, this natural leader stuff will be irrelevant if we pick a guy who ends up having noticeable less impact on the court than the guy Philly and/or Orlando picks after us.

Also...looking at Ford's exact wording makes it sound like he thinks we have Parker ranked above Embiid:

I'm hoping our owners are talking up Parker to distract from Embiid. Excited to hear reports after his workout in Cleveland.

That's doesn't surprise me as I read somewhere that 80% of the gms rank Parker over embiid

Maybe you were reading something from May, 2013?

90% of GM's have Embiid at 1. Maybe more.

I'm stun.

Agreed. That's how JA can get drafted in the top 10 ...even though when he tried to grab a rebound in summer league he would slap it like a volleyball.

Just saw the same thing happen in the NFL where one workout pushed Teddy Bridgewater out of the Top 10 to the end of the first round. That's totally f'd up. If that's where he deserved to go he should've been ranked there long before his pro day. I think you see so many mistakes made by NBA GMs in the draft and I'm willing to bet many of them are a result of putting more emphasis on workouts than game production.

Where does Exum stand in all of this?
Joel Embiid is the BPA in the NBA 2014 Draft.

I honestly wish they'd just fire him and Morway and bring in a new front office. Let a new group of eyes start making these decisions now.

Listening to the new owners talk, it sure sounded like they will have final say on any major decisions on draft day, Hammond mainly just being an advice giver.

This.

They are fully apprised of Hammond's failures and successes. He's under a tight leash.

At this point, I'm not sure I'd even want him around offering advice. I'm aware of the Kohl influence but I think it's time for a complete new start and I'd prefer it was done before the draft.

I know the new owners have talked a good game about "just being fans & letting the basketball people do their job", but this sounds an awful lot like the opposite to me. I'm with Europa in wishing they had just brought in their own guy before the draft. Lame duck statuses never seem to work out whether you are a GM or a coach.

More great news. I'm personally not a fan of Parker being ahead of Wiggins on the Buck's board, but otherwise BP has been a ray of sunshine today. I'm pulling for a Cleveland trade with Philly now so I can rest comfortably knowing the Bucks will grab Embiid.

Ot: it pains me to know the Vikings got maybe the best player in the draft.

Based on the current intell (Bucks having Parker at No. 2 and Sixers liking Wiggins), the Bucks really need to figure out a way to get the Sixers to include the 10th pick with the 3rd to get a deal done.

I'd say if the Bucks got 3, 8 and 10 (while getting their preferred player at 3) whoever orchestrated all of that gets full reign to run the team for awhile. That'd be a helluva night.

And so all my fears about losing our insider with the ownership change are laid to rest. 8-)

Yea he sucks.

His offensive game consists of bulling his way to the rim and bricking jump shots.
