Curious about the Cody Zeller pick ninja. Your center D is looking pretty soft right now. Ersan isnt a great defender either, although hes alright. Zeller is more of a finesse PF from what Ive seen than a C, and if you wanted a young scoring PF/C theres a better more proven one out there. I would have taken Plumlee over him too.

Lets not change rules mid game. The rules arent supposed to be dynamic.

that's always been my vote. but if we can change the coach rule, mid-BAT, why can't we change the trade rule?



that being said, i say keep the 5 trade limit because those were the rules set in place. if anything, make open trades at the end of the 13th round

Not a finished product is correct, and yes, I've been most desperate for a PG. I was really hoping Vasquez would fall to me at 166, and even then, he was only going to be my 6th man. In this hybrid-triangle like system, the PG duties are minimized. Especially with a roster comprised of unselfish and willing passers, Waiters is not going to be relied upon as a playmaker, but someone who can get to the cup and also play off the ball.

May not be ideal, but very talented grouping none the less.

To be fair, Iso-Joe, Batum and Marc Gasol are all good passers tho. So I could see the triangle working for you. I just would have went with a shooter at PG. There are still a few who fit that mold left in this draft. I would bring Waiters off the bench for instant offense.

i'm also going to be looking for a shooting/off the ball type of guard as well. that's what i was expecting you to go with as PG

Can someone fill me in on why we decided to get rid of coaches. I don't wanna read all the way back to find out. I just need the rationale. Especially since we've been doing it for the past few editions of BAT

I happened to come on one day right in the middle of it. It seemed like a couple of the GM's decided that they didn't want coaching and Mecca said ok vote- 5 or 6 people voted and it was done... Just like he did today...

if there's going to be a vote, all GMs should have a vote (should be given a 24-hour waiting period, after that, they're SOL). first to 5 is silliness.

1. Too hard to judge - Can't see what a coach really does for a team that is given to him.

2. Guys like Derek Fisher/Jason Kidd last year. - How are you going to judge that?

3. Who can I pick? The Sloan vs. SVG arguments last year were a disaster.

4. Do people actually care about who your coach is? No.

5. This game is built off strategy. Build YOUR team. Having a coach takes away from that completely.

i'm not fighting, mecca, just playing devil's advocate.


but to go against #2, why allow guys who haven't even been drafted in the REAL NBA to be drafted yet then?


like i said, i don't see the point in drafting those types of players, as we don't know how to judge their ability to translate their college skills to the NBA. any team built around rookies will not receive good ratings from me, win-now, or win-future, as we don't know how these rookies will pan out in the NBA. plus, i'm also anti-coach. but i'm more anti-change mid-BAT. but what's changed is changed.
