Didn't Saric say something about only considering coming over this year if like Boston or LA takes him? I don't want that headache, he might never come over.

You seem to be quite the xenophobe.

Tier 2
Dante Exum
Aaron Gordon
Julius Randle
Dario Saric
Marcus Smart
Noah Vonleh
Tier 3
Gary Harris
Doug McDermott
Nik Stauskas
Tier 4
Tyler Ennis
Rodney Hood
Zach LaVine
Jusuf Nurkic
Elfrid Payton
Adreian Payne
Kristaps Porzingis
James Young
Tier 5
Jordan Adams
Kyle Anderson
Clint Capela
Jordan Clarkson
Spencer Dinwiddie
Cleanthony Early
Jerami Grant
P.J. Hairston
Joe Harris
Artem Klimenko
K.J. McDaniels
Mitch McGary
Vasilije Micic
Shabazz Napier
Glenn Robinson III
Walter Tavares
Jarnell Stokes
T.J. Warren
C.J. Wilcox
Patric Young

This next group is a very large Tier 5, and it shows off the depth of the draft this year; the difference between the 20th pick in the draft and the 40th pick isn't particularly large.

There are a whopping 20 players in this group. At least 10 of these players won't hear their names called in the first round. This area of the draft is typically reserved for rotation players. These are players who are unlikely to start for good teams but could play a significant role coming off the bench for a team. A few teams had Anderson, Capela, Early, Hairston, Napier and Warren in Tier 4, but not quite enough for them to make the cut.
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

To me, Smart reminds me a lot of Dwayne Wade in college. Dwayne is a little taller and longer but Marcus is a little stronger. They both have similar leaping abilities, similar rebounding, assist, and TO rates in college. Smart is definitely the better defender and draws more fouls. Wade was the better finisher at the rim however he was a year older too. Here are some links for comparison

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Marcus-Smart-6284/

If Smart drops to 7 or 8, you have to try and get him. There is just way too much potential there. Who cares if he is a prototype pg? There really aren't many of them worth a damn anyway in the NBA. If he is Dwayne Wade 2.0 and if Jabari is Carmelo, and Giannis turns into what we think he could become, that's a legit contender down the road. One more tank season to get a big man and then lets go win some championships.

Watching Smart/Mayo/Giannis/Parker/Sanders would be a dream next season.

Lol @ Smart being compared to Baron Davis. Davis was a terrific athlete. Smart is not.

Edit: I guess the whole undersized 2 guard thing but still.....

i really think TJ Warren is going to prove a lot of people wrong. to put him in tier 5 with guys like patric young, and to put him a tier below a guy like tyler ennis is a slap in the face imo. he's going to be a stud.

it's gonna be sickening when a playoff team lands him in the later first.

Tier 1

Joel Embiid
Jabari Parker
Andrew Wiggins

Last year, we didn't have any player in this category. This category is usually reserved for guys who are sure-fire All-Stars or "franchise" players. Since 2009, only Griffin, John Wall and Davis have been ranked in this slot. This year, there are three players in Tier 1 -- as many as there have been in the last five years combined. All of them received Tier 1 votes from every GM, exec and scout I surveyed. So if there is any consensus out there, it's that there are three really great prizes in this year's draft.

Which reiterates again how each and every loss was important this year to ensure that we did not fall to #4.

To those saying it's "ok" to pick up a few random wins here and there for morale, it proves how short-sighted and meaningless that train of thought really was.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

No doubt. You can't prove what might have happened otherwise, but those extra 50 to 100 lotto combinations we "earned" might have made the difference between pick #2 and pick #5.

Right now I guarantee you that people will enjoy worst case Jabari Parker or WIggins much more versus that great "win" we might have had back in February over say the Bobcats.

I love how Woelfel assumes it's going to be these guys 1-2. Please, please please can we have a new NBA "insider". This guy is an opinion columnist at best (and not a very good one). Tired of Gery & his agendas.

(And THANK YOU to BuckPack for all the real intel. Seriously those who are still daring to question him....STFU!!)

Bucks do tip off against Cleveland that first Friday. I would have to agree with Gery that Parker v. Embiid does seem logical.

Just frustrating to see Gery list this as fact. Seems to me to be another agenda-pushing type of tweet. I for one would just love to see some objective journalism from somebody in the local media. (And sleepy-smurf Gardner does NOT count.)

Is there any realistic scenario in which we end up with 3, 8, and 10? I know 8 is looking more and more likely but have their been any further rumblings of trading 2 for 3 and 10?

Because you want Wiggins and it doesn't push the agenda you're in favor of? As of now, and for the past couple of weeks, everything we've heard indicates Embiid/Parker. No matter who your horse is in the race at this point, that seems to be the reality of the situation right now. There are plenty of things to bash Woelfel for, this isn't one of them.
